    What's GFX?
"GFX" can pertain to Graphics, Graphic Arts, and any digital artworks like sigs/tags, avatars, wallpapers, icons, etc.

    What are "stocks"?

    What's a "render"?

    What's a C4D?

    What are textures?

    TUTORIALS
    For Photoshop & GIMP

Since there are always people asking about how to make sigs, etc etc ... I've decided to start this How-To thread. Basically, this will be where the tutorials will be posted for making sigs, avatars, banners, or even just plain tutorials on how to use features of PS / GIMP. All the tutorials submitted will be linked to the second post (see below) so that everyone can search for them easier.

I'm looking forward to all the great tuts you'll send this way. Let's not hoard the knowledge, people. It won't hurt to share a trick or two with the community. It's always great to help out others. (Okay, I'll step down from the pulpit now. lol!) Can't wait to see your outputs and feedbacks.

    ~Rvn

NB. While it's not discouraged to post tutorials found on the web, I would like to request that we produce our own tuts, mainly because most of the tuts found on the web were made for posting in specific forums only, and posting it here without prior permission from the owner will be ... err ... you know where I'm going with this. So, let's keep our forum clean and original, folks. (:

I'll start. This is a PS tut (my first, so go easy on me. XD). The outcome is BLAH for me, but it was rushed, so that's why. But you can do wonders with this, and I'm confident your outputs might even come out better than mine.

I've tried making it as detailed as possible with the beginner PS users in mind, so I hope you post your outcomes if you ever tried to follow this tut. It took me hours to make this (it was a pain!), so I look forward to the feedback. (: Thanks!

Before you start, you'll need these:
A render: Google it or grab one from Planetrenders
The render I've used in this tut: Oblivion guy
X-Brush (plenty available on the net also): duckie16.deviantart.com
Scan lines (can be patterns .pat or brushes .abr): Brushking or Deviantart
C4Ds: just search for some on Google

That looks really complicated...but I'll try anyway.

Oh yeah. Can you provide the render that you used, so we can try to compare it to yours?
