This is why the Oscars have become a farce. 90% of the winners are just popular movies that are still in theaters when the academy votes. Movies released in the first half of the year almost never win (maybe a technical award, but even that is rare).

Wait until december to make this thread. The best is yet to come.
Evony communities opinion not Hollywood's. And Boleslav can you edit title to say Best Movie of 2010! (So far).

    Green Zone deserves a nod.

If you want some "filler" nominations then...
    1) Killer Inside Me was quite dark.
    2) The Losers was funny.
    3) I heard that Nightmare on Elm street did justice to that franchise, too.
    4) Robin hood was decent, even if it was the pre-story that noone was expecting. A lot of people were disappointed that it wasn't the traditional tale.

I did not see Daybreakers, but if it was half-decent, then it deserves some points. If for no other reason, than it presents a real vampire movie in the age of Twilight gitter-vamps.

I honestly thought Nightmare on Elm Street was a poor remake, and the only redeeming quality to it was Jackie Earle Haley. As for Daybreakers, it was definitely a nice change from the "Twilight glitter-vamps," and it had a good twist on the traditional vampire lore, too.
