    Exclamation Solution: Loading Screen Freeze and Can't Login Problems

    If you are experiencing any problems with connecting to our servers, or if you're unable to load the game, or if your loading progress freezes, this is usually due to files on your computer being out of synch with the files on our server. The best way to correct this is to clear the old files on your computer, which will allow you to connect and load.

    To do this, you'll need to clear your browser Cookies and Cache, and also clear Flash Temporary Files. Instructions for doing these things are below.

    Before doing these things, close Evony and clear your Flash temp files using Macromedia's Flash Player Manager.

    Clearing Cookies/Cache

    Internet Explorer
    1. At the top left, click on Tools then Internet Options.
    2. Click on the General Tab on the window that opens.
    3. Under Browsing History, click on Delete.
    4. Close your browser. (This is very important...your cache is not fully clear until you do!)
    5. Reopen your browser and type the website address you want into the address bar. Do NOT use a bookmark or a tab that has opened automatically.

    Mozilla Firefox
    1. At the top left, click on Tools then Options.
    2. Click on the Advanced tab, then the Network tab under that, then Clear Now.
    3. Now click on the Privacy tab up top in that window.
    4. Click on Show Cookies and then Remove All Cookies.
    5. Click OK to close the window.
    6. Close your browser. (This is very important...your cache is not fully clear until you do!)
    7. Reopen your browser and type the website address you want into the address bar. Do NOT use a bookmark or a tab that has opened automatically.

    Google Chrome
    1. In the top right, click the Wrench Icon.
    2. In the dropdown menu, choose Options.
    3. In the window that opens, select the Under the Hood tab.
    4. Click Clear browsing data...
    5. In the new window that opens, check the boxes for Empty the cache and Clear cookies and other site data.
    6. Click Clear browsing data...
    7. Close your browser. (This is very important...your cache is not fully clear until you do!)
    8. Reopen your browser and type the website address you want into the address bar. Do NOT use a bookmark or a tab that has opened automatically.

    Safari
    1. In the top left, choose Safari
    2. Choose Empty Cache
    3. Close your browser (This is very important...your cache is not fully clear until you do!)
    4. Reopen your browser and type the website address you want into the address bar. Do NOT use a bookmark or a tab that has opened automatically.

    Opera (from DeSalvionjr)
    • From the menu, choose Tools
    • Select Delete Private Data
    • Select Detailed Options
    • Check Cookies
    • Select Delete


    Following these instructions and restarting your browser will allow your computer to synch with the Evony servers and will resolve the vast majority of login problems. Thanks!
