    I just read too... I have to agree with Mati on this one.
    Why did you use that thread to link to this one? It wasn't enough that it [this thread] was the newest thread visible in bold?

    1. Resources (Food/Wood/Iron). Solution: Cap Resources so players may only have so many resources in the city at any given time. This will take advantages away from botters and give everyone the same amount to work with. Those who use their resources most efficiently win..

    2. Constant round the clock defense/offense from a single account. Solution: Create "sleep" window in which players cannot do certain things during that window. Players may schedule the window for their account. This will take advantages away from account sharers and give everyone the same amount of time per day to attack/defend but NOT 24 hours round the clock ability. That is silly because it is just asking for account sharing.

    3. Huge armies. Solution: Cap army sizes. Tie the army size to number of barracks and barrack levels. Players who use their troops most efficiently win.
    1. That would benefit the bot more, since it will use the resources soon as it gets them, while a real player that sends out farmers and goes to bed/work/school will come home with less than what the bot produced.

    2. So... you want to make it impossible to ever take a city from anyone, basically? Do you have any idea how hard it is to cap a city with an online defender? Yet you want to make it completely safe for everyone while they're offline? Ugh...

    3. If I'm feeding my huge army, I damn well expect to be allowed to have my huge army. FOOD is the army size limiter. If you're gonna limit it, then you may as well remove food upkeep at all.

    Seriously guys, stop making up ideas that hurt EVERYONE involved and annoy EVERYONE involved to the point of forum outrage or quitting the game. The evony reps posted they can detect nearly every bot out there.

    They don't need to change the game, they just need to start banning. But before they do that, they need to decide whether the risk of charge backs and income loss from botters is worth the enforcement of rules they made.

    Actually, I believe JP means a window of time during the day in which basically you can do nothing to defend yourself. It would reduce account-sharing because if an alliance member saw you getting attacked, they couldn't jump on for you to save you, because there is nothing to do anyways. It would make it easier to take people's cities.

    Btw, I would only go for a "sleep" window if it meant I actually COULD sleep, meaning I was invulnerable from attack. I haven't slept good since I started playing this game over a year ago, except for when I took Holidays.

    Its easy just set your sleep cycle for 2 hour intervals so they can't take your cities

    As one rep has spoken about evony not wanting to suspend all botting players due to the sheer amount of them.. but instead is trying to find a way to discourage botters by making botting non-profitable.. here's my 2 cents on this:

    1. Farming 9/10s gives a fixed amount of troop loss, and will never be free. That's why botters wont have anything much to gain by farming these over the normal persons who hand farm.

    -- But, botters can be online 24/7!! --

    Yes, but can they produce enough archers to farm 24/7? I honestly dont think so. Besides a very few % bot with their main accts anyway. Since the risk-loss % is too high if ever they got caught on their main accts.

    They usually get inactive alts and farm from those, with minimal troops. or just defensive troops guarding. They can't afford to farm 10s from there, as heroes arent that high, and losses are too great to farm 24/7 from.

    2. How about the legit players?

    As per Evony: NPCs weren't really meant to be a source for free food. With this in mind, this mindset is pushed forth.. As well as farming 5s for startup accounts on new servers should only be temporary, not the main goal. The wood, stone, iron and gold is still there, to help you build troops and level you techs. You really cant build a massive army in the early days of a server anyway, so no reason to stock up on food from npc 4/5s. Farming 10s should be the real goal for farming, from legit accounts. In the early stages of the game, you really dont need much food anyway, do you?

    Melri, I want to take you seriously I really do... There are 2 main reasons that I am unable to...

    1. The incredibly large amount of mechs I have seen you throw around using bad layering. No one who builds mechs in a legitimate fashion wastes them in such a way.

    2. "Is this the famous Zero? *shakes hands* if it is.."

    You posting this thread is on the same level of shadeslayer posting his botting thread almost a week ago. Shade then openly admits that he was using the valley glitch in another thread, which he then edited as if admins and moderators of a bulletin board system cannot retrieve it... sigh... so much epic fail.

    In order to discourage cheating then game conditions need to change so that cheating offers little to no advantage. This should apply to much more than just botting for food. It should also apply to multi-accounting, account sharing.

    So why do players bot/multi/acc share?
    1. Resources (Food/Wood/Iron). Solution: Cap Resources so players may only have so many resources in the city at any given time. This will take advantages away from botters and give everyone the same amount to work with. Those who use their resources most efficiently win..
    This may actually be a decent thing, my opposition to it is this: in the alliance I was in until just recently(went on hiatus for a bit due to real life) we have certain people in our alliance who hold resources and distribute to people who need them to build armies, rebuild armies, and level heroes, if a cap on resources was made it would make it harder to rebuild.

Sorry JP, but this is totally idiotic. It's already easy enough to pick up people's online and offline times as it is, and hit them when they're offline, but this would make it even worse. You're always for people being able to keep their cities, saying that attack servers ruin things; if this were the case you could take all but one of someone's cities in minutes. As it is someone can allow you to know your being attacked and you can get on.I know that I've been working, or out somewhere that has WiFi, and been informed by a friend via email that I was being attacked, and in turn logged on and defended.

    3. Huge armies. Solution: Cap army sizes. Tie the army size to number of barracks and barrack levels. Players who use their troops most efficiently win.
    This may be your worst idea yet. If I can have say a total of 1m arch, 500k cav, 3m warriors, and oh 100k each mech in a city, and you can also, when I move into the level ten next door while you're offline(though it will take longer now) I will not be able to wipe you as I would have been in the past due to me having more troops. The game already favors defense a great amount, and this would make it worse.
    My responses are red.

    @Mati2:

    1. People with large armies really cannot feed them from npc 5s form their main account you know. Even farming 300 npc 5s per day will only net you 900m food. Barely a few hrs for a good sized army.

    Unless... you use "other" means to farm those 5s

    @Wyze:

    2. Lol bad layering you say? Dare you show better mech hits than mine, then ill start to being to listen to anything you have to say. hehe

    I get all my food from npc 10s fyi, and from looting the enemy. 5-10b food loots is not an uncommon plunder every day in my server..

    Problem is without the 5s it cripples early game where you are building up to farm the 10s
