It's really quite simple, just annihilate them all. There are certain people, however that don't die/you can't kill.. and there are also certain areas where there will infinite re-spawns.

Best game to play if you want to annihilate a race and never look back is Fallout. In New Vegas, the white hat society or whatever it is.. yeah f*ck them, I walked into their casino and killed every motherf***** I saw. With a ****** flamethrower.

I went looking for Argonians, and accidentally on-purpose annihilated an Orc camp that I found, and then stole all their Ebony ingots from the conveniently placed mine. And Fallout suddenly sounds like my type of game. >:)

Yeah I know which camp you are talking about. There is a quest where you have to go there and talk to the blacksmith or something.. so I didn't kill them immediately. I did, however, rob them of all their ebony ingots.

I think I will be unable to do that quest - I am however curious: how did I manage to kill a quest character?

Its a side quest. You can kill them.
