goin by hero levels on either side and the use of the same hero twice i dont think u planned the attack to make it look like a fail if u did why where u layering the attacks to start with... if ur looking for a failed attack why not follow ssfg lead and just send 100k trans....full of stone then laugh while they try to work out what ur up to atleast u could claim it was for honor dump purposes then

Well I'm convinced

Honestly, anyone who has played for very long has almost certainly seen their fair share of bad attacks. And for new players, battle mechanics aren't 100% straight forward. When you're just learning, start off simple.

What I'd recommend is starting with these 3 waves:
1.) 98.5k arch, 250 work/warr/pike/sword/cav/phract
2.) 99k arch, 1k cav
3.) 100k scouts

These are the first three that I tell new players to use, and while there are certainly a ton of ways to defend agst them & they aren't going to ever score you huge troop kills, they're more than enough to beat an average player.

First wave - This one kills layers. That means cavs, phracts, pikes, swords, warriors, and workers all die to this wave. A decent estimate is that you'll kill about 100k of troops per wave that you send, though that can vary greatly depending on your hero & the layers you're hitting.

Second wave - This one kills archers, but only when everyone has level 10 compass & when all of the defender's cav/phract/pike/sword are dead. So lead with enough of the first type of wave to kill those & then send this wave second. A 200 attack hero will kill about 60k of archers; a 300 att hero will kill about 80k.

Third wave - This one kills ballis and pults. It actually kills the unit type with the highest mass attack value, which usually won't be ballis & pults until you've killed the defending layers & archers. So...use the first two attacks to kill the layers & archers & then use this one to kill ballis & pults. A 100k scout bomb will kill 10-15k of ballis or 5-10k of pults.

If you want to know which unit type your scout bomb will hit, take number of each unit type in the city & multiply by that unit's attack value (for example, 100k of cavs would have an att value of 100k x 250 each, or 25mil). Whichever unit is the highest gets hit.

For the city you hit, I would have used 1 #1, 1 #2, 1 #3, and then 1 #2 again to kill the walls & lingering troops.

And for people reading who are great attackers...well this post isn't for you. I know there are a ton of ways to defend agst these, and many better attacks. But for newer players, these will get you started & you can figure out the more complicated stuff as you go. Good luck! And to the OP - good luck agst their host.

#1 I needed to reduce upkeep
#2 I needed to dump honor
#3 I couldn't be bothered to send them home
#4 I was faking bad attacks to make them drop their guard

My alternative responses:

#1 Attack more people for the same total losses = more loot, same upkeep loss.
#2 Treb walls (as you already stated)
#3 Then why bother building them in the first place?
#4 Will cost the same anyway to kill them, so might as well do it right the first time.
