Background:

Marianna Aufenbach was born as a simple commoner in the countryside of Venstland. However, when she was just 3 years old, slavers attacked the Aufenbach home, slew both of Marianna's parents and took the child away from her burned-out home for use as a slave in some household. However, the slavers were encountered at rest by Lord Garan Shadowstrider. Garan saw the baby elf and was consumed by rage - how dare these slavers traffick children so young? How dare they cross through Shadowstrider lands?! Garan killed all of the slavers and took Marianna back home to Castle Silverwater. Garan's wife, the crusader Lady Vierinissa, had an idea for the little girl. Three years beforehand, Vierinissa had given birth to a daughter named Sabuit. In order that Sabuit might have someone to talk to as she grew older, Vierinissa decreed that Marianna should be her companion and friend, and secretly, she petitioned her grandmother, Ilharess Jhulva, for Marianna to be brought under the Ward - the ancient spell Jhulva had woven so that no more would House Shadowstrider be plagued by senility and death from old age. Jhulva took pity on Sabuit and Marianna, and consented, much to Vierinissa's delight.

As they grew up, it was clear to Sabuit that she and Marianna were not the same race. However, despite the Drow's natural hatred of surface elves, Sabuit had lived with Marianna for so long, that she considered Marianna her closest and dearest friend. Now, as both reach their 103rd birthday within a few weeks, Sabuit and her now-handmaiden Marianna enrolled in the Temrald Academy...

Background: She is the Princess of a Ruler in Vaegir, growing up she grew up happy although with many dark moments in her life she always looked on the bright side. But when one of her brother was assassinated for protecting her she started to study magic and soon became very well versed in it. Her dad for her 18th birthday got her two things she could go to The Academy when she turned 21, and a new staff that enhanced her magic ability. When she got this staff it was hard to control but eventually she was able to get better at it and soon even learned to fight medium range combat with it. On the day of the festival when amaron fled her dad had taken her on his dragon Zmaj to the academy

Appearance: standing at 6’3’’ Darius has steel grey eyes, with short brown/black hair. A large scar runs down over his left eye and terminates just before the neck. He wears banded mail armor that has a knife sheathed on his right shoulder. Finally he carries a single edged longsword as his main weapon
Ups and Downs :
Ups: Medium/heavy armor, certain poisons, knife and longsword fighting
Downs: he is almost incapable of magic in all forms, archery, horseback riding, has a rare condition in his blood that doesn't allow it to clot as easily as normal blood and will give him random tremors in his left hand (though he has learned to suppress the tremors)

Background : At around the age of 4 in the Aethinian capital Darrius earned the ire of some of the “bigger kids” on his block, after several beatings Darrius realized that he never stopped bleeding as quickly as the other kids, one day a passing doctor took notice of Darrius as he attempted to stop the bleeding, his left hand shaking the entire time, the doctor after assisting him recognized the disease as flentes vulnere, surprisingly almost never fatal as long as you stayed away from the business end of a blade. The next day when his turn came Darrius did something he never thought he would do, he fought until he was able to get away. When he was old enough he enrolled in military training, soon he had mastered the basics of the sword and knife. After a small stint in the army he left and became a blade for hire, that is until he was hired as Princess Anna's body guard by her father
