    Capital System: Kislev

    Empire Description: After the devastating war between the Kislevites and their hated enemies, the Reich, Kislev has now expanded to include the Reich's space. However, the war had virtually destroyed the infrastructure of the Reich's systems, and the Kanzl within the Reich's former territory are now trying to rebuild a shattered area with Kislevite support. Restrictions on the Kanzl have been relaxed following the annexation of the Reich, in an effort to integrate the Kanzl better into society. They are still keeping an eye on Sol, along with the Centaurians and Achenarans, but Kislev has threatened to sever ties with the Centaurians following the suspected sightings of Centaurian craft over Sol IV (Mars) by spacecraft from Sol III.

    Dominant Race(s): Mainly Kislevites, however the Eldar and Kanzl have been subsumed into the Empire.

    Adrian Steele
    Age / Apparent age: 26 Standard Years, looks like someone in his late teens
    Race: Furian
    Gender: Male
    Faction: The empire of the Furians (no official name)
    Occupation: financial tycoon, ruler of the Furians
    Position: King of the Furians, overlord of a number of countries, including Dragos
    Description / Picture: Three to six inches taller than your normal Achenaran, he looks almost like a Draconan royalty, but with several differences: He's slightly shorter than many in that group, he's got blonde hair, and multicolored eyes that shift color at will, unless his mood is unusually strong. His hair is a black sort of color, but it has a noticeable dark blue sheen (sort of like the color of space).

    He always wears an Achenaran vibrosword, and has three concealed throwing knives, and a good sidearm for protection when his guards are either inadequate or simply not there in times of trouble. He is always seen wearing simple dark-colored clothes, and one ring on his finger, which is ancient, and made of unknown materials.

    Here's a picture that would pretty much tell you vaguely what he looks like. Always wearing some sort of blue on the outside, this would make probably the closest picture that would describe him, that I've found so far. (His hair is a bit longer, has the sheen, and his eyes aren't Japanese, like the picture looks like. Oh, and he doesn't sparkle like those lame vampires seen in the Twilight series. All this, also minus the girl.)


    Skills / Proficiencies: In the realm of education, Adrian has it all--academic knowledge and combat knowledge, as well as training in both their uses by the best teachers and trainers that money can pay for.

    In matters of intelligence, he is the leader for an extremely good reason--he is smart, very much so. He possesses an IQ that puts even most of his peers to shame, and makes most of his competition look idiotic in comparison--because he normally is calculated enough not to challenge anything that may be a real threat to him unless he knows he's going to win.

    Overall, he's the person the Furians "elected" to rule over them. During his short reign, he's already brought under control of the Furians more than ever before, and he still remains strong.
    History: His history goes back two ways: one with the Furians and their elitist society, and the other with the Draconans and their royal line. (for more info, see the other app I'll be putting up.)

    For the Draconan end, Lady Helen Dragos was a Furian, who had the throne held pretty firmly, along with her father before her, and so on. She was married to another Furian, who turned out to be the leader of all the Furians out there, and he was killed in Zikaren space shortly after they were married--but Helen nonetheless carried his child, and in grief removed the embryo and placed it in stasis.

    Very shortly afterwards, she got married to Dalgaron, who was a powerful noble who came from a neighboring country to the Empire, which joined itself to Dragos after he became King by marriage. He seized the throne, and some time afterwards produced Aldaron as his heir. Some time afterwards, she secretly revived the embryo, seeing that Aldaron was displaying a few of his father's mental problems, in spite of his strong Furian side.

    The resulting child was named Adrian, and his last name matched that of his Furian father. No sooner than the child been artificially born than it had been sent away to the Achenaran Empire, in the care of one of Helen's wealthy relatives, where the child grew and thrived, and got the best education in all areas, with the best teachers that money can pay.

    Even to the point of Adrian Steele's first public appearance, his parentage was only known to but a few, and those few were highly trusted officials in the Achenaran Empire, or those few in Dragos who either died or could keep an important secret to save their skins...

    A few years ago, he was "elected" by the collective to be the leader of the Furians, meaning that he had total control of one of the strongest financial powers in known space.

    Race Description:
    Type O Humanoid -- Furians have many characteristics that make them very similar to your average human being, but they tend to have a metallic sheen in their hair (mostly resembling very subtle shades of blue, red, gold, and other natural colors). Their eyes are also different. Their irises are slightly larger, and have extremely rich pigmentation. Their eyes are usually a single, solid color, although mixed colors are found here and there.

    Their lifespans are very long. Most live to be 500-600 years old, given their living conditions (which are usually extravagantly good). However, they have an extremely low birth rate, with the average Furian couple only having an average of two, perhaps three children over the long span of their lives (hence their extreme rarity).

    The main way their species has survived among the stars, over the countless eons, has been to accumulate wealth and power (especially over others), to use as a shield. As long as they're protected by those who uphold them for their wealth, their survival is usually assured. Slowly, over the course of several thousand years of slow and tireless work, they eventually came to be united under a single leader, despite the presence of Prometheans in the galaxy, and their own internal conflicts.

    When the Prometheans mysteriously disappeared, they finally came into their own, and they (under a single, solid leader by now), made their moves to preserve their own sovereignty over themselves, thus ensuring the survival of their struggling race.

    In terms of genetics, the Furians are very much like any other humanoid, aside from mentioned traits. However, if they ever have a child with another humanoid, they'll usually retain nearly all of the characteristics of the Furian parent, as their genes are designed to be extremely dominant, unless one Furian pairs with another. In spite of all of this, their numbers remain extremely low, numbering only about 2500 in total, of those aligned with the millenia-old regime, and only about 500 elsewhere.

    Kislev is one of those few nations who has a joint rulership between monarch and prime minister. The monarch may call elections, propose laws and also support or vote against laws in Parliament - the monarch is technically a member of the State Duma, but is the only permanent member. The monarch also appoints the Speaker of the House of Commons (the lower rung of the Duma) and is a life peer in the House of Lords (the higher rung of the Duma). The Prime Minister is usually regarded as the Tsar's right-hand man, but the election of the anti-monarchy Social Party last election has resulted in political war between Tsar Andrei and Prime Minister Khrushchev - It is believed that Andrei will call an election soon due to infighting between the Tsar and the Prime Minister - and it is a vote the Socials will more than likely lose, with the more right-wing Nationals expected to take power. The Kislevite Nazi Party (yes there is such a thing) has supported the Tsar in the past, in stark contrast to the Communist Party, who support the Social Party in elections. The Centrist Movement is also an up-and-coming party in Kislevite politics, and the Centrists are undecided between pro or anti monarchy...

    Description of economy:
    Having made the transition (against the wishes of the Communists and Left-Wingers) to nanoindustry, the manufacturing sector has exploded. Products that used to take a few days are now being produced in several hours. The Communists feared that the economy would be ruined by the enormous cost, but manual labour has finally been replaced by nanobots, and the economy is now booming. Will the bubble burst? Maybe, but Kislevite analysts doubt it any time soon. The service sector is strong as ever, with haulage companies experiencing renewed contracting from manufacturing lines, and the trade deals with the Eldar have been suspended in favour of fully integrating the Eldar into the Kislevite nation, bringing extraordinary wealth with it. Trade with Achenar is still going strong, whilst cross-galaxy links with Draconia and even deals with Suria have been reached. Some think that Kislev has entered the first Golden Age with the destruction of the Reich and the integration of the Kanzl and Eldar bringing power, wealth and prestige...

    Kislev has similar technology to Achenar in most departments, except in Offensive - whilst Achenar use the graviton plasma cannon, Kislev has decided to use one of the most brutally effective weapons in the known galaxy - Kislevite ships and battlesuits use AP cannons (antiparticle cannons for those who don't like acronyms) and they are devastatingly effective against enemy shipping and ground forces alike.

    History: Zhan was raised up in the Cathedral, the most sacred planet of all Zharaians in the other Space. He and many others were trained since childbirth to become Zherenars, Templars of the Illuminated's Realm. Where many perished, he among few prospered and eventually became Zherenars. It would take around a hundred years until he became Triyah Zherenar, Grand Templar, the highest seat in Zharaian society, only outmatched by the Shaiyun, Pope. A prophecy was foretold many hundreds of years ago, that a Gateway to the Ancient Realm would open and let a band of Chosen Ones to return to their ancient birthplace and reclaim their lost, sacred Relics of Old. Zhan was the Tryah Zherenar that was chosen to lead the Chosen Ones to the Ancient Realm. He had a year on him to get them all, and he was ready to do anything to fulfill his Destiny, no matter what heathen stood in his way.

    Empire Description: The Zharaian Thenaun is the major power of the Sacred Realm, the Universe were they rule. It's a Empire built up by the religious conquer race of Zharaians, who came to the Sacred Realm around 1000 years ago, quickly conquering the under-developed planets and bring their religion to the savage barbarian races there. It took them countless ages, but one day the majority of the Sacred Realm was under their control, which they loved to remind their slaves. Those who do not obey the Zharaian, who believes themselves to be the one pure Race, are considered outcasts that needs to get punished.
    Dominant Race(s): Zharaian is the dominate race, but there are other races that are used as slaves or treated as second class citizens. As long as you agree to pray to their Illuminated God. Only Zharaian are allowed to become Zherenars and other important roles in society.
    General military information: (Ground forces and space fleet):
    The Zharaian Ground Army is made up of Zherenars, the Templars. Children are brought to the Holy Cathedral to be trained till the day they are ready to become full-fledged Zherenars. Even though there aren't that many that survives the training, there are still countless of them, all ready to die for the one true faith. The Void (space) Fleet is made up by three kinds of ships: Sanctuary, capital ships used for command centers for the Fleets and seat for the Triyah Zherenar in charge, Void Bringers, cruiser/carrier hybrids used to protect the Sanctuary and carry the Void Gliders, fighter/bomber hybrids designed for either fast strikes or dog fights. The vehicles used by the Zherenars are called Void Guards, tanks made for absolute destruction. When the heathens see the Void Guards rolling for them, they know that they won't get the option to convert, just death.

    Humanoid races: Most humanoid races have two arms, two legs, warm-blooded mammals. They tend to have similar stature and build. Humanoid races seem to dominate most of the Galactic Arm's race pool, a curious phenomenon which is theoretically impossible. Many theories exist why there are so many humanoid races in the Galactic Arm, most of which involve ancient "seeder" races that planted them on various worlds. Humanoid races are so numerous that they are categorized into various subtypes.

    Humanoid (Type A): Type A humanoids are the most common form of sentient race in the Galactic Arm. Type A humanoids are virtually indistinguishable from each other, except by an in-depth genetic analysis. While some may have various features that are different than other Type A humanoid races, for the most part, there is enough diversity within a species to be indistinguishable from others. Most Type A humanoids are so similar that they are capable of interbreeding with each other.

    Mammalian: Non-humanoid mammal races are fairly common. Some of them have humanoid characteristics, but for the most part, they are very different from the humanoid races.

    Reptilian: Reptilian races are cold-blooded, scaled species that resemble various lizards and snakes. Some share humanoid characteristics, while others are quite different from humanoids.
    Examples: Dragons

    Silicon-based: While most species are carbon-based, it is not unknown for silicone-based life to develop on worlds. These races tend to have crystalline structures and are very, very different from carbon-based life forms.

    Uncategorable: Many races simply cannot be categorized, due to the fact that they have virtually no similarities with any other races. These races are quite common, and in fact make the most sense of any sentient races due to unique development. They can also be the product of extended genetic tampering.

    History: Raised as a member of the remnant race known as Helia, Alaula grew up as a wanderer living on Shadow, one of the few corvettes that escaped when their home planet imploded many years back. Originally, the Shadow crew were merchants, but by Alaula's birth they had turned more to the ways of the mercenary. She spent much of her childhood training in recon and medicine, using her spare time to study the various maps they'd acquired. This habit made Alaula the natural choice for the pilot of Shadow after her uncle died when she was 13. Noticing how quickly she learned the controls, some of the crew started teaching her hacking as well. Three years later, Shadow was destroyed while at a dock with most of the crew on board, leaving Alaula alone. Unsure what to do, she stayed where she was a few days, and that's where she met Raya. From then on, they worked on various missions for myriad races across the galaxies, ranging from simple tasks that mere peons could tackle with ease to complicated classified assignments of the type entrusted to experts. Until they joined that fateful Tyranid mission, in which Raya lost her life quite early on, and Alaula is still not quite sure how she lived through. Since then, Alaula has struggled to find any meaning in life, roaming through space doing odd work out of boredom (it isn't a necessity now; the Tyranid job saw to that, though Alaula takes little consolation from this fact). However, she is about to learn some surprising facts about her past.... the effect this shall have on Alaula (and her life) remains to be seen.

    History: Sophie was raised on the (primarily) Theluji Chui world of Onza, and due to unpleasant circumstances at home ran away at 15 and made her way to the capital system of Neko. Once there, she wasn't quite sure what to do with herself, but rejected the idea of looking for work at a place like The Cathouse. As such, Sophie ended up simply drifting for a time, till she found work as a mercenary. Though she hadn't experience in that field, she could use a sword at least, and also throwing knives; and being a quick learner she didn't take long to learn how to man guns as well, and picked up some other skills that helped her find more work. Her experiences in this field didn't much improve her thoughts on men, and when Sophie turned 18 she opted to take a break from the life and joined the Meren Voima. Here, she improved the skills she'd learned, and developed a good sense of discipline, though she doesn't always use it if such is not needed. Although Sophie did well during her time in the army, even being commended for certain things, she was undecided on whether she wished to continue with it and opted to take a break. Having returned to her mercenary ways, she has been able to make more than previously doing such work, but is between jobs presently.

    History: Evie is an Achenaran, and proud of it. Her father, Tomas, is a lieutenant in the Achenaran army, meaning her mother is left to raise Evie and her siblings on her own for the most part. Not an easy task, as Evie has 3 brothers and 2 sisters >.< But she does the best that she can, and Evie respects her quite greatly for that. However, Tomas is still Evie's idol, and Evie hopes that one day she can join the army like he did and follow in his steps. As such, she studies hard in school, with any downtime being spent on games akin to King's Knight.

    Empire Description: Complicated. No really, you don't know the half of it.
    Dominant Race(s): Technically speaking, everyone native to Neko is Kedi. However, when the Kedi began colonizing planets outside their home system, it became necessary for them to adapt to life on these planets, resulting over time in 10 distinctive groups of Kedi. The group a char falls into shall be listed as their faction.
    General military information (Ground forces and space fleet): Neko has a centralized military, which serves the entire Federation and whose members hail from all parts of the Federation. The United Forces of the Neko Federation (or UFNF for short) is divided into 4 main sectors: the Armeija, or ground force; the Meren Voima, or marine corps; the Laivasto, or navy (yup, if ever there's a fight on water, we're ready! ^_^); and the Ilmavoimat, or air force, which has long since moved away from 'conventional aircraft' (planes etc that are restricted to flight within the atmosphere of the planet on which they are based) in favour of space craft. Each sector is headed by one of the reigning monarchs, with supreme command of the UFNF being held by the Aslan of the Royal Pride. All sectors use the same rank structure to avoid confusion during cooperative missions. To elaborate, however:

    Head of Government: Royal Pride (Kai is head of this group. So I guess ultimately you'd say Kai. Or maybe you wouldn't. Whatever.
    Description of Government: The Neko Federation consists of 10 clusters containing 4 star systems, each cluster being associated with a particular type (or faction I suppose) of Kedi and having its own elected monarch to oversee regional affairs (ie. within their particular cluster of star systems. Power is likely further delegated, but I'm not getting into that). And yes, the monarchs are elected. This happens whenever a monarch dies (meaning if ruler of system x dies, system x has election to replace him/her. Not 'every time a monarch dies, we all get brand-new monarchs. That's not how it works, alright). Monarchs are also members of the Royal Pride, a council created to oversee the affairs of the entire Federation.

    Economic prosperity: Developed
    Description of economy: A fairly prosperous or at least well-off capitalist system, where barter is unofficially part of the economy. (ie. the powers that be don't integrate it into their policies, but it occurs nonetheless). The standard currency of Neko is the pica.

    Age/Apparent Age: 53 Standard Years, appears to be 25 or 26
    Race: Furian, Draconian (royal line)
    Gender: Female
    Faction: The Draconian Empire
    Occupation: head of state
    Position: Queen of Dragos
    Description / Picture: Standing at 6' 3", she stands taller than most humanoids. However, she is widely known for her beauty (as humanoids see it).

    She is never seen without the crown of state on her brow. It is a smaller crown meant for an important vassal, as she is not the true ruler of Dragos, but rather a regent ruling in her son Adrian's stead.

    She is always seen wearing either a royal red or a royal blue, but never both. She tends to wear an elegant dress, unless she is offworld, in an inhospitable climate.
    Skills / Proficiencies: She's a master manipulator, and a very intelligent mind. She's always had a good hand with finances, however she has a lot of pressure on her hands, as her husband and son messed up the country before either met their demise.
    History: Classified (for the most part) -- According to what records are accessible to the public, she was born on Dragos to King Eldaron VII, an only child. There she grew up, and was sent to Achenar where she fell for an extremely rich man who turned out to be of one of her family's blood. They were married for a short time, until her husband was killed in Zikaren space under unknown circumstances.

    Shortly afterwards, she married Dalgaron III, who immediately siezed power and drove the country forward, using the empire's vast resources to expand. He was killed in a skirmish near a minor star system, and his son Aldaron took the throne, unaware of his elder brother's existence elsewhere.

    She continued to hold power behind the scenes, until her other son Adrian revealed himself, and dethroned Aldaron, who had continued to make rash decisions, in spite of managing to expand the Empire to vast sizes (at a great cost to the treasury).

    She took the throne, after her son practically bought her country from Achenarans, who nearly seized a large portion of it, after Aldaron was revealed to have made a pact with them that he broke. He was dethroned when his errors were discovered, and given a small kingdom elsewhere by his brother, far away from Dragos.

    She has only been on the throne for eight months, but the Empire under her leadership is already looking towards a bright new future.


    Aldaron I, King of Athens
    Age / Apparent age: 28 Standard Years, looks like he's about 20.
    Race: Draconan, Athenian
    Gender: Male
    Faction: Kingdom of Athens (a small, isolated principality)
    Occupation: Head of State
    Position: King of Athens
    Description: 89.5" tall (very tall for his race), bright-colored (blond-ish) hair, which is highly unusual for his race. He towers over most members of his species, even other Draconians.
    Skills / Proficiencies: Being extremely well-educated, his mental prowess is known in terms of getting his way. Unfortunately, his many other flaws led to his downfall, and eventual exile. He was given a crown of an unimportant and isolated kingdom, where he rules independently.
    History: Born to Lady Helen and Dalgaron III, he thought he was an only child. Spoiled by his father, his education wasn't as fool-proof as it was supposed to be, and unlike his grandfather and his predecessors, he was never sent to Tartarus for military training.

    As a result, he grew to be a poor Emperor who lacked the education required of the position. During the course of his short reign, however, he managed to use his father's rash investment into the military to expand the empire to the size it was today.

    When he had reached a point where he was displaying some of the worse symptoms of his father's genetically-acquired illness, he was restricted in power by his mother, and the High Council behind his back, and eventually deposed when his actions nearly brought about the end of the Empire.

    When it was found out that Lady Helen had another son his birth (but kept in stasis before his birth), the High Council found it as an excuse to dethrone him. However, his newly discovered brother saw fit to give him a remote and self-sufficient star system, very far away from any of his other assets.

    He's only reigned there for eight months, but he's realized by now that this is the most he'll ever have in life, as the region is sparsely populated, and Athens has a small military and economy.


    James Morgan
    Age / Apparent age: 128 Standard Years, looks to be about 50
    Race: Draconan
    Gender: Male
    Faction: Draconian Empire
    Occupation: supreme commander of the military
    Position: Member of the High Council, Grand General
    Rank: Grand General
    Description: Standing seven feet tall, he's about the average height of a noble-blooded Draconan. He has dark hair mingled with small amounts of grey added in to look like he's finally aging. He always wears black and gold, with hints of red. He is always seen wearing few trappings of his station, as he has never really been into showing off for many years now.

    He never wears a hat, always wears his uniform and medals with perfection, and is never seen without some type of sword and pistol strapped to his side.
    Skills / Proficiencies: Possessing very extensive combat and tactical skills, he is one of the best generals one could possibly have. Over the course of his entire career, he's only presided over two lost battles, both in which the odds simply didn't stack up for him.
    History: Like most Draconian well-to-do families, his sent one child to the military, at least to try it out for a three-year term of service. James Morgan joined as soon as he was able (20 years old), before his eldest brother finally made the decision to do so. The rewards for that were so steep that he never considered the possibility that it was all rigged, until later in his career (when life had finally knocked enough sense into him).

    He spent far more than three years in the military. He decided after about a year in the military to make it a career, so he applied to be a Legionnaire, and was accepted in. He was promptly sent to the hell-world of Tartarus along with 10,000 students to train there, and spent 5 miserable years there for his "basic combat training."

    Of those 10,000 students, only a little above a thousand stayed and/or survived the entire duration of the training. They were all given promotions, a medal, and a new rank title to symbolize their high achievement.

    He eventually became estranged from his family, and never really met the woman of his dreams, so he stayed in the military, rising through the ranks by reason of his heroism and expertise on the battlefield in many areas. He became a full General at the age of 50, and due to his genetic enhancements, never seemed to age in the years that followed. His superiors began to suspect some background experimentation in his genetic makeup, but he concealed it until he had served long enough to make the fact harmless to his career.

    He became a Fleet Admiral when a vacancy was called for, and due to his brilliant record and unusual vitality for his age (80 years). By this time it was known by government that several hundred individuals at around the time of his birth were genetically augmented to halt the aging process in the early middle ages...But the current King kept his people from touching his Admirals. (It was long suspected afterwards that he had them commissioned early in his reign for the very purpose of breeding military commanders. However, it was never confirmed.)

    Morgan kept his title of General until he was promoted to Grand Admiral about five years ago, when he relinquished it because of a law that no man with that high of a rank could hold more than one position in the military.

    General military information: To be added. (Note: Dragos does have a very active and good-sized military, even for their size.)

They in turn rule themselves as they please, within the laws set down by the Crown and its Council.) The Crown is the supreme source of political and military authority in the nation. It answers only to those it has sworn loyalty to, if any exist.

    Description of government: Ruled by the reigning Queen/King, with a High Council responsible for running the country. The Grand Admiral also sits on the Council, along with prominent lords and other representatives of the Empire's chief provinces.
    Economic system: Capitalist for the most part, with a few key industries owned by the government. The unit of currency is called the Dragon, and in spite of the empire's debt, it remains a very trusted form of money in the Verge.
    Economic prosperity: Semi-prosperous, but the national debt is very high.
