Ok so this one is hopefully gonna be a bit of a running event, whenever i get time to play ect.
First off:
What is a Nuzlocke challenge?

For those too lazy to click the link, Its basically a self induced Pokemon hard mode. Works on pretty much any Pokemon game, from blue or red to X or Y
Here is a flow chart, where you can decide what options you want for your own Nuzlocke challenge.

its entirely up to the player as too how much of it they decide to follow, however the standard basic rules are:
1: You must catch the first Pokemon you come across in any given new route/cave/whatever. should you accidentally kill said Pokemon, your outta luck and have gotta wait till the next route/cave/whatever to find a new Pokemon for your team.
SSNOTE: It is acceptable if the first Pokemon from any given route is one you have already caught, You get a "re-roll" and can capture the 2nd non duplicate you find. IE: you catch a pidgey on route 2, then find a pidgey first up in Veridian Forest, You can re-roll for another NON pidgey.
SSNOTE2: If the first encounter in the area is a Double Battle in dark grass, the player may choose which of the two Pokemon they would like to catch. (if you already own one of said Pokemon you must catch the one you dont have. if you own both, Reroll rule applys.)
2: Any Pokemon that faints is considered dead, and must be released. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3: Nicknaming every Pokemon you catch. - The idea here is to give you an emotional bond with your team, so even if its a crappy caterpie, you wont just disregard it. (optional but highly recommended.)
4: Your starter Pokemon is based on your trainer ID: IE If the last number is 1-3 the player starts with a Grass type, 4-6 is Fire type, 7-9 is Water type, 0 is the player's choice. (Also optional but highly recommended)
5: Not officially enforcing the rules until the player has Poke Balls and can catch Pokemon. For example, the Poochyena/Zigzagoon that the player has to save Professor Birch from is not counted as the first encounter on the route, and not counting any other encounters as such until they can catch. Likewise, in the games where the rival battle is immediately after getting the starter Pokemon, the "any that faint must be released" rule is not enforced at that time.
6: If the player has no Pokemon that can use a certain field move that is required to continue through any given point of the game (IE strength, cut, ect), they may catch another Pokemon that can learn said field move. However, it cannot be used in battle for any reason, and must be released, permanently boxed, or migrated as soon as the player gets another Pokemon that can use said field move.
A good idea is to put said HM ***** in the PC before you go to battle a gym leader, so you aren't tempted to use them.
Pretty easy right?
Those are the rules I intend to use in my challenge, you can go harder or easier, should you chose to accept.
Trading Pokemon is somewhat of a grey area, for instance trading to evolve a Graveler or a Haunter, is normally decided in your rules, since ill be playing on An emulator, I wont be trading to evolve Pokemon.
Ok So a few more things:
http://www.behindthename.com/random/ - Name generator for your character if you don't want to think up a name yourself. (My Char will be called "Hann" thanks to that site)
any Pokemon game can be found emulated online, some quick googleing and torrenting will get you any game you like, apart from Pokemon X and Y, which aren't Emulated. - I will be using my favorite Pokemon Game of all time: Pokemon Gold.
*There will be a double post to start the story*
