    Default When evony goes down on you thread

    I have a suggestion say if evony as our provider of services if have a issue with there so called provider of services or partners limit the risk of passing that burden onto its customer via reasonable and achievable means
    such as if know problem not being able to provide its service realize that there game revolves around most players having to rely on the fact that to play game involves a fair amount of time invested.
    If our computer go down that would be our fault but when evony quite aware of the fact service not being provided
    how hard is it to limit the effects by stalling the upkeep
    I find that it is quite irrational on customers behalf that by passing on the 10 hours of negative progress during the 10 hr outage the real issue when come to your bad service to investors of game that is in no way due to the bad service provided to you guys for the outage so why pass that burden onto us when feel purposely done if not why is that done.
    Surely realize its impact on players isn't there a better protocol can put in place i know you guys have somewhat said wont happen again but in my world manure happens and I'm sure can implement better procedures for less consumer burdens added to issues on your behalf with simple means such as wavering upkeep till issue solved and should by rights be 24hrs free upkeep after event.
    do realize that maybe see as a cash milk in such circumstances but because of lazy business its your customer that reflect on themselves why continue to play a game where treated as stupid for the mere fact enjoy and wonder why play and often add stupid game cause sometime feel treated that way by provider.

    note: I know the game about business to you guys i rather relish on the basis of when do good business moves rather then gringe on bad ones in relation to your consumers and questionable business practices how are we to recommend game sometimes feel takes advantage of us

    As far as I can tell, this is the -only- time Evony has had an issue with the upstream being down in 5 years 3+ months. That's a pretty good track record. Last year when they had data center issues, what did they do? Went to a different data center.

They don't own the company that provides the internet connection from their servers at the data center to the internet. Nothing they can do but sit by and depend on them to fix it. Further, we are not investors in this game. An investor is "a person who allocates capital with the expectation of a financial return". You get virtual cents to spend in a virtual game. You own nothing and you get no financial return.

    You do realize if we cannot connect to the server neither can anyone from Evony ? They don't own the servers. There is not some IT department sitting around an Evony building scratching their heads on what to do next.

    The thing about expecting 100% perfection means you will always be let down. Always. Outages happen. Lots of websites and games face the same issues. For a 24 hr game to be down in its entirely only 2x in a year ( and moving data centers because of the first incident), says a lot. 99.9% of the time, its up and running.

    as im aware, when comes to customer relations evony track record is a lot to be desired this isn't the first time evony been down sometimes they had outages before and when able to provide service again did not hand us the outage time as a burden to us..
    its not a matter of weather they can do it or not have done it as i see right before its a matter of what is there protocol will it depend on who they can blame for the issue so if not there fault ours too we penalized.

    i not sure about your ramblings but ten hours is ten hours not sure what you invest in game to feed your troops maybe that the only time of day can get in.
    In 30mins some can make 1b food off market alone to cover day if not able to cover that as some like to play on the edge as a form of defense sometimes best form of defense is to deter players on a scout so if have the troops and the food not worth the opponents effort to get then if that your strategic game do we also have to add in that maybe if evony has a issue that we change our game that works for us to suit a protocol evony putting strategy at risk to maybe the slight chance evony go down and results in you coming back in full refuge players attacking since some like to war in war game and not having the time to get the refuges incurred sorted because thrown back into game under fire that could have be done better when aware service unattainable to us
    to waver upkeep during time outage, seem you would know what involved in the ten hours outage to fix you proud of what they achieved in ten hours yah evony some weren't when come back on and seemed to incur the results of not being able to get onto a game thru no fault of our owe only having faith that evony would have the foresight to realize what effect that would have on there players ten hours outage
    and as to say we are not investors is wrong you go to a shop buy a pie you have invested in there pie you have invested in there business makes you a investor weather monetary or with time so just because the word investor has different meanings in different circumstances don't mean in context of which i used wrong you feel because has different connotation you get to decide in which context was wrong in using when wasn't HOW RUDE

    Im not expecting that they put in protocol when outage happen that be something that take less then a push of a button for a IT guy if they departmentalized they have this thing other then internet they use to use in the olden days called a phone maybe they couldn't manage that in ten hours ring one department to say can you get the tea lady to push the no upkeep button to stop upkeep while we having departmental issues effecting us in providing our services to our investors in game.

    so im not expecting 100% perfection just a improvement it also a fairy tale to say wont happen again it may not happen again in exact same manner in saying so but will they also next time when have a issue that may outages game for 2 days that will have same protocol in place.
    inccuring same result or be mindful of there investors ifs thats asking for to much in your world then maybe we go on a date you can pay im only 99 percent perfect on the first date you seem to feel evony cant be improved sorry for asking for that in my case only need help with 1 percent improvement sure you can manage that
