Thread: Civil Code price drop

    Default Civil Code price drop

So ive been thinking of ways to make coining a bit more worth it, and think ive got a way to boost sales Sell civil Codes for 10 cents instead of the current 50 cents a piece. as is they arent really worth buying for anyone, but if the price was dropped to a meer 10 cents a book then i can gurantee you these would quickly become an entirely new revenue stream. (For a reasonable price, considering your only getting max 20k-30k population per 10 cents, which is equal to $1.) i can see many people buying coins for the sole purpose of having a couple dozen civil codes lying around in case they get attacked and need some quick instant defence troops.

10 cents sounds a little too cheap, with age 1 having instant troops and virtually endless supply of resources you need a limiting factor for troops production which is what population does.

If you make the civil codes 1/5 of the price, there'd be nothing stopping big coiners from just buying hundreds and instantly popping out a warcity. (OK maybe exaggerated a little, but you get the point

I think the shop itself just needs a major remodel, introduce some of the newer items, fix up the prices and actually do "special offers" instead of just having that empty tab. That in my opinion would create more revenue.

I made a thread about this ages ago. I 100% agree. I do not know why they have never reworked pricing in the shop. And it has always flustered me why they dont do special offers. There are so many items in the shop that I am pretty sure we all look at as "if we win it on the wheel, great! If not screw it!"

I also agree that dropping civil code that much would be abused.

If the city has a 140k max pop, would cost about $50.00 for a mill scouts or about $286.00 to get a mill pults. i would say that is not all that overpowered. if someone wants to drops thousands then yes they could get a giant army fast (assuming instant hero and res required). And what is the harm if someone wants to drop that kind of $$ on the game? Players willing to do that are the only reason this game is still around, without the big spenders Evony would not be able to pay the electric bill!
