Can't attack players

For some reason I can't attack players, there is simply no attack button only colonize am I just being stupid or is there some mumbo jumbo magic trick I have to do to attack other players? I can attack NPCs and valleys fine but not players. There's someone with a ton of gold right next to me and I really want it all.

your on a colonize server....

solutions :

1. quit it and move to the newest age2 server
2. wait for the next age2 server to open up, quit and move there
3. quit and play age1

If you click on colonize then where you can select colonize/attack/scout/transport/reinforce select attack, it lets you attack.

I had the same problem refresh the server through your browser then try again or go through your rally spot
