Hello Evony Overlords,
I am a reasonable person. I often defend Evony when it has random issues because as a 24/7 running game, your uptime is actually rather fantastic. In the almost 6 years I have played, your issues in regards to the game being up and functional have been minimal. But lately, your communication skills...well, they stink. And that is not ok.
In the past month, ss37 has gone down twice for a significant amount of time, with not a single peep from Evony. Truces have been broken for weeks. Not a facebook status update, not a post on the forums, not a peep on twitter, and any help tickets just sit there for a day until it gets some random response that has nothing to do with anything(*). When you did post that we would be down for 2 hours for an extended maintenance....it never happened. The short of it is, we are getting rather infuriated that you just don't seem to care. We have no idea when or if you realize there are problems, or what means we can use to actually inform you of legitimate server wide or game wide issues. I don't care if its going to take 5 mins or 5 days to fix problems that come up, I just want to know that you are aware of them and working on them. Today half our accounts went missing and we have no idea what is going on. The server randomly went down for maintenance again 30 mins ago, so it was up for a good 10ish hours today, broken. That's really just not acceptable at all.
My game suggestion is this : Communicate! Just acknowledge you know there is a problem. I don't need timelines and apologizes and free compensation packages. I just need to know that YOU know and are working on it.
*I try to be helpful and open a Help Spot ticket when something goes down. On Nov 14, 2014 when I opened a ticket to tell you guys that we could not log into the server and we were all getting a SERVER PROCESSING ERROR, I got a response 24 hours later that asked for a screenshot of my problem. That isn't help, its a mockery.
