Dayenna(411) CD Intel War City Wiped! (ss38)

If you were hoping to see hits as brutal as i have posted in the past in this thread, you're going to be dissapointed- the following is an example of the first time i have sucessfully taken down a largeish archer huge intel compact defence(i've taken down large CD towns as documented on these forums but not with an intel like this defending)- and as such, the hits are less brutal because of the damage limitation having a huge intel hero provides... 1042 attack, 850 intel + Art of War and probably corselet.


While still drunk yesterday morning, i moved in 1.5 miles from Dayennas war city. Scouted her and found gates open, so i started descouting, and found her monster intel hero was defending the city, so knew it would be a hard slog!

Some history of Dayenna; Dayenna has been in two alliances(CRUCIFIX and 411) over the last 3 years or so that have been at constant war with my alliance(The_Just) and the alliance of ssfgrgawer(Dacia). During that time, our two alliances have either capped or broken the war cities of virtually every red player to us, even the ones who have put up a great fight have had their war cites broken or lost cities to us.
EXCEPT Dayenna- on MANY occasions we have descouted Dayenna over the years( although most have failed in that as well, as she usually carries hundreds of millions of scouts, and has a habit of breaking her gates closed then open again,- she seems to always have tonnes of breakers on her account for just such occasions!) We have also fought her many times, particularly MrNorth, Woozy, myself, Laird, Mentat, PirateKing, ssffgrgawer,Hesstified, Kiki, TsarGogs and a few others.... On a number of occasions we have killed half or a quarter of her war city- but on no occasion have we ever broken her, as she is often a very good defender who can whack those archer towers back up faster than anyone i've ever encountered!, and at other times elusive, and often people -including myself can't be bothered attacking her as it is mightily expensive attacking that intel hero defense, especially as she has another city with 50 mil archers in it and 200 mil scouts that constantly reinforces and replaces any damage you do to her. Others fear to attack her because she has a fearsome, and pretty effective vengeance streak! Overall- i rate her very highly on the list of reds i have come up against over the years, and have a lot of respect for her. I will confess i would probably have not got any where near breaking her if she had been online- and would of probably lost the veast majority, if not all, of my mech heroes.

So i realised i was up against 51mil archers, 3 mil trans, 1.7 mil cav, 1.8 mil phracts,
2.5 mil ballista, 500k rams, 2.4 mil pults... with a huge intel hero defending... so this was gonna be expensive, although it has cost me only around 27 million scouts to kill 256 mil of her scouts!- which was lucky besauce i only usually carry around 25-35 mil scouts! I brought in my second war city, which i also placed 1.5 miles from her- so both of my war cities were at 1.5 miles from her( the closest they could get). I evacuated all heroes from my town except my big hero to descout with if more scouts were moved in, and i moved in 18 good mech heroes- 800-1500 attack, and oneintel hero for ram waves-around 180 attack, 180 intel.
I then proceeded to send 18 waves of differing mech at her with 1 ram wave each time at her, for three-four rounds til i ran out of mech in my smaller war city- here are a selection of the hits- note they are not as brutal as some of the hits i've posted before because of the massive intel hero. I didn;t get a report on alot of my hits, so there will be big gaps in the archer numbers between the hits i show.

I hate hitting intel defenses, no large hits lol. I capped someones war city 2 days ago with an intel hero defending, biggest hit I got was like 225k ballies (besides the transporter and scout hits), nothing worth posting =/ I didn't even want to hit it because of the int, but gates were closed and it was at zero loyalty, figured I'd try for the heroes. Everything escaped.

congrats on finally catching Day with their pants down. ITs taken us 3 years to finally catch her napping. That intel is a massive pain in the ass, And is one of the reason why we have never got close before (That and Dayenna was always online it seemed)

As you said she has another city with scouts and archers left so shes far from beat, but this is the first time that either team has caught her offline and managed to relieve her of all that burn. Who knows, maybe SDMF can rebuild some scouts now that day will be "low" by her standards as every time they have fought, Day would descout while SDMF tried to do what Blacky succeed in doing.

U can port in a city with no scouts to avoid that prob ssf or just keep her honored up which i kno can be a pain in the arse. Not bad black nothin too special but you killed some sht so congratz lol

every time i do that i come accross a player i need a scoutbomb or two to clear (Normally alts nowdays). and that would also mean i have to have two citys with food, when i dont even have one city with food (So it all stays in the one spot most of the time)

i think this victory is less about the kills earnt but more about finally felling one of the most notorious hitters on the 411 team.

i think this victory is less about the kills earnt but more about finally felling one of the most notorious hitters on the 411 team.

I had a guy who would break my gates and descout me any time I hit anyone in his alliance. It worked, they'd fall to mech-d and there was almost nothing I could do if they had at least a trap hero. I could be sitting there will all the troops in the world and 10 times their skill. The only solution is to have two cities. Cap a 10 by them and move your scouts if you don't want to port around a second city, gate breakers only last an hour. I generally cap a 10 by people when I hit them anyways, so it was an easy adjustment to make.

It suks, but you gotta do what you gotta do, especially when you're always fighting the same people and you know what they're gonna do.

You and I both know most fights don't give you anything special to post, especially intel-d's. I killed 2 of the same guy's war cities this week and I didn't post any reports, there was just nothing worth showing lol. Just some basic archer killing mechs and then me SBing out a million mechs. Standard BS.

If 51million archers is a largish arch shield then you are lucky. Most servers old and new have archer shields well into the 100s of millions and even over a billion. All that aside congrats on clearing an arch shield. Few points you should note, Once intel is over 850 cors and art of war have no effect on archers. Another thing your Ram hero is far to small with way too many points added to intel and not enough added to attack, In any situation where the defending troops are going to 1 shot the attacking troops it dosn't matter if intel is 1 or 4500. Vs the troops she had defending you could have easily gotten a lot of 0 honor hits with ram waves appropriately layered.

Just had a look at the last of your reports. The last few are badly layered. All 3 of the final hits could have easily wiped the remaining troops with no more then layers dying.

no doubt there are bigger citys out there, we never said this was all the troops Day had, I believe blacky even said "She has another city exactly the same in her Hub" or some such.

Point is 50m arch is a plenty big shield. if you cant defend with 50m archers, you might as well quit, becuase you have got to be utterly terrible to need a "billion" archers.

As you mentioned, some of his waves could have been better. but when you finally catch someone like Dayenna offline, You have to capitalise on it. Sometimes you throw a wonky wave. we have all done it before. Its a race to cap before they can be raised online. I HATE bad waves. But i have in the heat of the moment just thrown "Near enough" to get the job done.
