    good to see some of these items being used as they are meant to be. Breaking citys the size of the average country.

    But for the love of all things holy, dont abandon your ratios... some of the attacking waves makes baby seals cry. think of the seals.

    Ssfgrgawer, your post is hilarious too, as u tell V_230 ‘don’t abandon your ratios…’ LOL they never knew the ratios to begin with and we are still waiting for them to figure them out!

    Which is why the horde is perfectly suited for players like those in V_230:
    Players who: don’t know how to attack but if you throw enough 1.5m waves at a city you will most definitely kill something if someone is not online to play an active defense. The horde disregards 6 years of battle mechanics simply because of the size of the attack.
    Players who: live in truce/holiday and have their accounts peacetime ONLY when they are online. Many V_230 come out for half an hour at a time and back into hols.

    The L3TH4L accounts that were hit are most often peacetime. The V_230 accounts that are peacetime have few troops, except for a small handful (3? Maybe 4) who get cudos for having some guts to not insta-truce and will occasionally sit still for a battle. Earlier this week for example, WidowMaker of V_230 was peacetime in Swabia.

    You can see he has a lot of troops. A L3TH4L ports in to hit and gets one wave enroute when this well-equipped city TRUCES! At least L3TH4L lets you get hits in…why? Why not?! It’s a war game! I have no issue with you killing all my troops, my top hero gained levels! Rebuilding troops gave my heroes something to do for once! I saw an unallied newb account (because they don’t talk from their mains lol) say something in wc about a truce from Lacewing ‘who says she never truces’ – I have used truce agreements before and I will again, and I have never said I never use them - if it is strategically useful I will use it. Kill my troops, yes, steal my res? Not if I have a say in it!

    It was great to see some action on a quiet server and if it took the hordes to do that, great! I laugh because it is easy for Humpers (V_230) to post these reports and try to look good, but we really know what went on behind the scenes, things that were not mentioned….

    1. Humpers, it’s cute that you used your alliance’s abandoned accounts (abandoned by original owners who have quit) and pretended that each account was an active V_230 member.

    2. The fact that every single account on the server had hordes available and V_230 used any account with scouts to send 1.5m scout bombs at players 300 miles away. They also ported in mass alts to back up their hits, those hits are not posted.

    3. In my own case, I had attempts on my city on Friday evening. First by Zhay running Zenith account (or someone else running Zenith account). The minute I started sending scout bombs she ran into hols and remains there to this day. Second, 2 hours later by some alt account from Carinthia who ported in and started to hit, only to port out as soon as I started sending scout bombs. I knew I would be hit later as it was obvious they were testing to see if I was around, so I could have truced then or went hols but hey, I wanted to see the horde in action. It was fun!

    4. Virtue_230 accounts with any amount of troops larger than 800k each mech stays hols 99% of the time, coming out to sneak attack or to transfer troops, and back into hols usually within the hour.

    5. If a Virtue_230 account with significant troops is left out for longer periods, it is set to insta-truce (see WidowMaker scout, above).

    6. Virtue_230 will claim they need to hols for food but of course they spend so much on coins to holiday that they have loads of vestas, so are on half food. They also log during promos and load up on half food buffs and rehols, so most of those accounts don’t use food during their half hour of peacetime anyway. They are hols because they are scared to lose their virtual troops.

    So go ahead and keep posting, V_230! We know the way it actually is. Until you learn how to kill using ratios and stay peacetime for more than 30 minutes, and until you sit still for a fight…you will continue to be a joke. Go ahead and post a rebuttal, I will laugh at that too! Oh and btw, this is neither whining nor crying, this is just the way it is!

    Happy to see something happening on our server, even if for only a few days.

    Well the obvious answer to them throwing terrible ratio mechs is punish them with CDs. Provided you have enough troops for that of course. Killing 1m pults in the same round they kill the 18k Archer towers is going to take some serious defencive firepower, Something smaller cities will struggle with.

    it primarily only benefits the largest multi-accounters in the game. in fact one might call it favoring them, but that's a philosophical question.


    i've seen some great defenses done, but they took perfect conditions to do so. anything less only benefits the attacker as the mechanics are so skewed by the sheer numbers change. those big nuggets still know how to protect their heroes, so the chances of that 1m pult wave even having walls left in a CD scenerio is about nill as the 100-125k pre-mechs with garbage inn-filler heroes driving them will wipe them. ratio's be damned, when the 5th or 6th mech of any ratio hits a CD in anything to close timing the walls are LOOOONG gone. and that in and of itself suggests that players need to have more feeders to support a larger defense which only contributes to the main problem. there is no real balance for the defender of a mid level grade account - which the non-horde battle mechanics at least somewhat balance out - especially on earlier servers.


    its not like evony had the foresight to hand out a few 10x walls items to go with it..... to help balance things even a little bit. and it would be a relatively tiny bit as it still heavily favors the massive multi-accounter anyway. if it were to be enabled as an angel item type buff (think fleet feet) where it gave a X minutes 10x wall buff that would suddenly unbalance regular combat as well unless it were a terribly short time period (say 1-2 minutes), so thats a non starter.

    but those balancer's aren't even a consideration.


    if evony wanted to make sure these things were never used again they would have had a date use field in play, just like they do with the sinterclauss cookies or the other half food buffs that come with promotional packages, that were stuck dealing with in our account inventory's forever.

    this horde thing looks to be about as well thought out as the broken gates was initially when you could lock someone's gates closed and plunder their sh!t right out from under their noses.

    i merely gave an option. trading 18k towers for 1m pults is the most obvious way to defend those terrible ratio waves, but its not the olny way. If the opponent is sending other waves then perhaps a 5k will be a better choice. IF a smaller player cant come up with a few 100k pults to take a 1.5m mech hit in a 5k then they aren't a small player, They are an alt. Unless they are sending 150 waves, you should be fine.
