attacking a lake ...

Wanting to build a second city, i send my hero along with 530 archers, 50 warrior, 200 swordsman and 250 workers to attack a lev 8 lake.

It says : wounded proportion = 10%.
My hero has been instantly teleported back to my home city ... and my whole army has vanished !

So here are my 2 questions :
1) Can i and how to get my army back (at least 90% of it ?)
2) what should i send to this lake in order to take it ?

nah, you can't get any of them back, obviously they all died ^_^
you sent them to their death, that is awfully a low amount to send to a level 8 valley ^_^

You can't build a city at a lake or other valley.. you have to search for a flat... and perhaps at your rally station at the medic camp you could heal some I don't know..

And what you send you need for like level 6 allready.. with many losses...

But if we can't conquer a lake, what is the use of the "increase food prod by 29%" ? How to benefit from that ?

nah, you can conquer that if you can beat the defenders, ^_^ and you can't build cities there, only in flats ^_^ if you can capture a valley, it will increase production by x % what ever the valley says ^_^

When you conquer the lake/desert/forest you get the bonus it states. Your resources production will go up 29% (in your examples) if you beat all the defenders. You are allowed as many valleys as your level of town hall.

When you conquer it, your troops will stay at the location as eat 2x the food, you may see your food go into the red. You should recall them [don't abandon, recall] and you will be fine. Most people see someone taking their valleys as an act of war, so most people wont try to conquer someone else's valley.

But.. you better can't build another city yet..

I did it also at other server... my defences weren't that strong but I had many level 9 buildings... someone fought my city from 01:00 till 11:00 while I slept and it was conquered... I was left with my second city which was worthless while my main city was gone to him.. so before building another city make sure your first is very very strong

walls provide defense and ATs but none of that will stand if you don't have a decent army to protect your cities, if you feel like you are in a war zone, better not build for now. if its relatively peaceful there with no bullies, then build build build ^_^
