Ballista Requirments chart for NPC raids

I've lost with 3800 ballistas vs a lvl8 NPC town that had a lvl45 hero, mistake was using a low attack hero myself. I had archery lvl9 at the time. Hero attack matters a lot.

Yes, the numbers -are- too high. I managed to take a level 1 NPC city with 20 ballista, 6 archery and an 80~ attack hero. The numbers are still useful though, as a rough guide. Without that table, I'd have no idea at all how many to send to the higher NPC cities, and probably end up losing my ballistas.

If you think that those numbers are accurate, point out which ones, and to what extent. Instead of spewing invectives and distaste, do something to help :P

Here is what hero level did. I attacked a lvl 5 barbarian town that had a lvl 7 hero.
I have lvl 9 archery and lvl 8 Military Tradition.

you only needs 1300 ballistas for lvl 7 NPC with lvl 9 archery

Doing NPC4 with 280 ballistas *archery 7, mil tradition 6, 85attack hero
NCP3 with 180 ballistas

This amount of ballista's was combined with a archery research level of 9 and a attack hero with a stat of 131. If you have a low level attack hero i would suggest you increase the amount of ballist's between 50% to 65% to be cautious.

I am currently working towards level 9 however 6708 ballistas does fail against level 9.

For NPC Lv5 500 ballista with archery at Lv9 and a hero with attack between 85-90 was sufficient

Quoting my own post just to keep the info together. Just after I did this I attacked a lvl 6 barb town with 700 Balista and lost 35 of them. Not really sure what killed them and it only lasted 68 rounds.

Just to let you know be very careful, This is in the process of being nerfed.

Just a warning to you, Because i know when this is fixed there will be lots of posts about why you lost your ballistas.
