  1. I've been conserving my strength, the turkey really hit me hard. I'll get back to you tomorrow with a rebuttal.
  2. 1. The early Christians, c. AD 111-113, referenced Jesus Christ in their worship, which is at least circumstantial evidence for his existence.
    2. The early Christians believed Jesus was God and proved this belief by worshipping him.
    and a bonus:
    3. Jesus Christ made such a difference in their lives that they refused to deny him even though Pliny the Younger was executing those who refused to curse Christ.

I have a degree in History, how about you?
  3. Pliny the Younger was not a historian. He was a political figure corresponding with the emperor Trajan. He wrote that "They asserted, however, that the sum and substance of their fault or error had been that they were accustomed to meet on a fixed day before dawn and sing responsively a hymn to Christ as to a god, and to bind themselves by oath, not to some crime, but not to commit fraud, theft, or adultery, not falsify their trust, nor to refuse to return a trust when called upon to do so." Two points with this statement in the next post:
  4. Tacitus was a historian who wrote in the 2nd Century. Less than 100 years after Christ was on earth. His writing is so close to the original events that no "legend" would have had time to develop. You really haven't studied how to study history, have you?
  5. Josephus was a 1st Century historian. Eyewitnesses to Jesus Christ were still alive when he wrote. Eyewitnesses would have been able to contradict him if he was incorrect. You apparently are not a serious scholar.
  6. You wanted sources other than primary sources. You won't accept Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, James, etc. as original sources. They were all eyewitnesses to Jesus Christ. You have set up a test that no historical figure can live up to. You might as well not believe that Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Julius Caesar, Voltaire ever existed.
  7. Wow. 3/3? Again...Pliny the Younger NOT born until after Christ supposedly died. Not a primary source. Again: INVALID.

No serious scholar can claim Christ ever existed.
  8. Again, Tacitus....also not alive during Christ's supposed time on Earth. Also not a primary source: INVALID
  9. Josephus was born after the "death" of Christ and therefore not a primary source: INVALID
  10. You have to post them on my message board for me to see them, btw.
