It might have been closed because there were already several threads about that topic (I believe package prices is a popular subject). We generally prefer to keep only one thread per topic, since it's inconvenient for moderators and users alike to have, say, 5 to 13 of 20 threads per forum page being about the same subject.
You might feel we tend to be tough on threads regarding "bad things" about Evony, and in some cases perhaps we are a bit strict (I can't speak for all cases), but you might also notice a fair amount of times someone has something "bad" to say, instead of posting it (civilly) in a thread already addressing the matter, each person will tend to:
A. Make their own new thread about the matter, which quickly add up and clutter a forum with each newcomer.
B. Bring up a matter that's already been discussed and finalized countless times in the past.
C. Post their own thread in the wrong forum entirely.
D. Flood the same post in multiple threads and forums, often everywhere except the proper place to post it.
E. Make a post filled with flames, insults, foul language, accusations, attempts to instigate trouble on the message board, or other unwelcome behavior.
F. Any combination of the above.
Which prompts moderators to lock or delete the thread. Which sometimes incites members to claim we locked/deleted the threads for no other reason than because we want to censor them or because we're abusive meanie-heads.
Of course, that might not necessarily apply to this specific case since I don't know what the thread in question is, but I don't feel we're quite the villains some people seem to make us out to be.
