Worst=Scream. I was 10 years old when I saw it and I didn't even blink.
Lol funny well i guess you were pretty young then too. here is what the cover looks like on the dvd case.

I thought House on Huanted Hill was pretty scary
The best horror film I've ever seen is "the Exorcist". Don't watch it by yourself, that's for sure!
Best 'hollywood horror' of the last decade was The Descent. A close second was "Rec"... which was the original, and 42x better, than Quarantine - the poor hollywood remake. Alzar... burn your copy of quarantine, and get Rec. Angela Vidal was the perfect lead.
Best mainstream horror ever... hmm... I'd say the original Chainsaw Massacre. Saw it before I was in my teens, and I credit it for the development of several teenage phobias. lol
Best horror actor would have to be Vincent Price. He was, for my money, the greater horror film actor of all time, followed by Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Boris Karloff.
Best horror director. Hitchcock. End of discussion.
Best modern-day horror director... Rob Zombie... a true artist. Devil's rejects, both the movie and the soundtrack, were sublime.
Non-mainstream horror movie... would have to be Audition, aka Odishon. Some may argue its category... but that would be my pick.
I don't know what you define Horror as... but I did like Quarantine.
However, the scariest film I like is The Grudge and it's trilogy.
I liked 28 Days Later for putting the scary back in zombies...
Not necessarily the scariest horror films admittedly, but I would say that my favorites are Disturbia, and 30 days of Night.
They are just good for their plots, and storylines, etc.
Not that I see that many, not being a fan of horror movies lol
28 Days Later was great. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Paranormal Activity. It was surprisingly good.
Paranormal Activity wasnt good to me
Dead Silence is one of best
I really liked Paranormal Activity, for a movie that had all the special effects of a set of heavy boots, a few candles and someone shouting, it was very effective.
A decent movie that didn't rely on cheap shocks like gore to work.
I liked a few!
Saw I,II,III,IV,V,VI
Scarce
Hostel---------------------->WAS REALLY GREAT!
House of Wax
______
(If I remember more I'll tell you.)
If you want to watch a truly scary movie, rent The Descent. It's claustrophobic atmosphere will have you cowering in fear well before the truly bad stuff happens.
If human-based horror is more to your taste, rent Come and See. It's in Russian, with English subtitles, and it is a movie that will rock you to your core. You will only want to watch it once.
I also have a soft spot for Hostel, purely because I've stayed in the place where it was filmed. In a hostel.
Okay. My turn.
Anyone here old enough will remember the first Alien movie when it came to theaters was billed as a horror flick. And some scenes in this had me going pretty bad! The first time you see that little monster coming out of poor John Hurt's stomach... OH MY GOD!
the hills have eyes yes its very good
Any of Rob Zombie's latest directoral projects... 0_o
Paranormal Activity!!!! Don't do what I did and watch it with mates only to find yourself having to go home to an empty house at 3am! If you get scared easily yet want to see what all the fuss is about then i suggest you watch it with friends in the morning so you have the rest of the day to get it out of your mind or sleep early :P
House of wax made me cringe.
Nosferatu
And for those of you who don't know about it... Google it.
oh i saw that one, it had the most beautiful love story ever.
no i'm thinking of a difrent one
srry nvm
im goin with best horror film as uh debbie does dallas and for sure im saying the worse was the remake of Halloween.
The best is because my brother told me it was a horror movie when i was young right :)
The worse is cause it seems like rob tries to put so much nudity in it..if i wanted to watch something like that i would.
i love all the halloween movies :)
The Candyman...been scarier horrors i suppose but it has a great atmosphere, score and story.
I totally agree. For next steps I'd suggest either Wishmaster for high gore, low intellect horror fun, or The Skeleton Key for Southern US atmospheric horror. Candyman would serve as a launching pad for either. If you wanted something equivalently scary and atmospheric, I'd suggest Hellraiser.
Last House on the Left the original
Anything on syfy.
Lol really they all scare you. Is it because of ghosts.?
I have seen all of those.Candyman was a quality horror movie but wish master bored me.To much gore to little plot.I cant remember the skeleton key but i know I have watched it.some of the Hellraisers didnt scare me when i was five but some of them were very good.I think jeepers creepers 1 was my favorite horror movie.
I think mine is 28 Days Later. I haven't seen too many.....
Mine would have been ''Paranormal Activities'' but it wasnt scary too long. Only the last 10 minutes it was. So mine would be ''The Unborn''
I'd have to agree with The Descent and Hostel.
Hostel 2 was pretty decent also I think. And the first Final Destination made me afraid to use anything or go anywhere for a while.
does saw count as a horror?
Uhhh ... Final Destination. Might add more to the list later. XD
Paranormal Activity. Although, it was very predictable.
