It's always good to get a different perspective on the same subject, especially when it's easy, concise, and straight forward.

why let every1 know this:confused: just makes it harder for people to take down a cluster of enemys grouped toghether:duh: dont tell the whole world how to play the game :p lol
flawed guide. almost every aspect of it is wrong. pl don misguide newer players with it.
Kept it very simple....this is covering all the basics.
Although according to my experience i need more cottage as my main hero keeps bumping up levels......but when u r startin out i think u got it right 8 cottages seems good enuf
again just Ats is good to have if u have the right layering in your city....i usually have my abatis on just coz it takes so much longer for them to clear my traps and abatis if i am not online for them to send in a catsmack...thats just me :)
I am in support of the advice regarding attacking, cohesion as an alliance, and all of that business, however, I would support different theories on city and defense composition.
Your number of cottages should reflect the hero that you use for troops training. Ideally a player should have 1 lvl 10 barrack, and the rest of the city as cottages with a large enough hero. But until we all achieve those insane hero lvls that allow us instant troops, we need to replace our population (and thus recruiting capacity per queue) with more barracks so we don't wait forever for our troops to finish.
In regards to wall defenses, AT are really solid as far as layering for mech goes, but I would not place too much importance on them once a server is developed. At later stages, abatis, traps, and trebs are more important to prevent substantial damage from ponies and mech.

so where would all these players with there fast troops go if no1 has a high lvl embassy? the embassy is much more critical first b4 relief station if u gonna be reinforcing troops....lol
and yes, a timed defense rocks :) ask the guy that lost 99k calvs tryin to finish off a city, and even scout right b4 he hit.....oh w8....that was me :mad:
