Yes, guys and girls, I am extremely nearsighted. I literally see colored blur without my prescription glasses. I cannot operate motor vehicles or such without them. Not quite blind, but video gaming is kind of out, due to how close I'd have to sit to the screen type bad vision.
I wear contacts. So I know nearsighted.
Oh...Well, uhm..now I dunno what to say. :o Such a speech can leave one dumbfounded to respond.

LOL...mine's rather passed through both sides of my family. I started wearing mine in 5th grade, after the school mandated eye test brought up the fact that my vision was no longer 20/20. I'd love to wear contacts, but right now, it's just not possible, according to my optometrist.
Boo! Get corrective surgery.... I want to get that myself.
Corrective would cost more money than I can afford right now. I'm good with my glasses, right now.

My eyes started blurring at around....7th~8th grade? I think so. I still have to wear glasses when I'm playing video games or watching TV, or else anything thats a light color, will be a complete blurr.
Light, dark, doesn't matter...it ALL blurs! Makes swimming even more of a scary thing for me...
Ehh. Not when you have PRESCRIPTION GOGGLES!!!

Well I don't wear glasses to school (For Social Reasons...), and I only wear them in my house, so I'm kinda 50:50 here.
Elana, you should be glad you have good vision! Corrective lenses are such a hassle... especially when you try to retain your good looks in the process...
I was in Year 3 when I started to have to wear glasses. That makes me about 7-8.
And now I wear contacts. I look slightly more awesome with contacts than with glasses. Especially in my evil look...

I guess we can be glad of our good vision, but the number of people with glasses still astounds us..no offence intended. :)
None taken. Trust me, I wish I had 20/20 still. Transition lenses are good, but they just don't have the same fun as sunglasses.
