I'd just have to do some camping...
1. Mesmerize the guard at the gate.
2. Gain entry to village.
3. Cover any part of you, that may reveal that your different than a Elf, or any other normal visitor.
4. Hide in Laura's cottage for a while.
5. Go gallivanting around the village; if you got entry to the place, though you look different, they won't mind.

If you add enough sweetener to coffee, it's not bitter at all.
