Also, what sort of fascination do Americans have for the letter 'Z'? Shown, most prominently, in words ending '-isation'.
That I don't mind so much but it is a puzzlement.

It just bugs me, the only use I can imagination for such a change would be to suit the mispronunciation of such words.
I shall delve into childish phonetics to explain my point;
American way
'-ization' Eye-Zay-Shun
The British (and therefore correct :P) way
'-isation' Eye-Say-Shun

And well to be fair it sounds more like a Z than an S.....so thats why i'm not that bothered....
