I have noticed this before but with the long distances I am transferring troops it is becoming really ludicrous.
Bug: When sending troops on reinforce, the amount of food needed to send them on a regular mission(Not sped up by relief station) is taken from food instead of the amount that should be taken with the sped up travel time. This can mean 100 million food just from transferring some troops around in 1 day EASY, add this up over time and I think it's just to much to be ignored.
Check these out, this shows moving these balls through a relief station should cost 1,365,730 food. What is actually taken is almost 7 mill food. Now if I do the same thing and attack somewhere an equal distance(instead of reinforce), the amount of food would be the same 7 mil that is actually taken.
I always transfer at least a few hundred thousand cav around the map 150-200 miles minimum 2x a day. They alone are taking 50 mil food instead of around the 8 mil it should be taking.
Edit/Update: I just sent 200k archers 450 miles to a new attack zone. Cost me 58 million food.
400k Cav back to safe zone end of day: 64 million food, 128mil round trip for the day
300k warrs into war zone 33 million.
50k transports in/out round trip 70 million.
289 million food for 1 day moving in and out.
I understand the game wasn't designed in the first place to be this big, and also not to be using this amount of troops. But this is the way the game is now. I don't think it is a necessary food sink to go through this amount of food to find some worthy enemies. Also this seems to happen every time I reinforce not just sometimes.
