I cant figure it pieman but offer this riddle in lieu of an answer
If three cats catch three mice in three minutes how many cats would be needed to catch 100 mice in 100 minutes?
There are three switches downstairs. Each corresponds to one of the three light bulbs in the attic. You can turn the switches on and off and leave them in any position.
How would you identify which switch corresponds to which light bulb, if you are only allowed one trip upstairs?
throw all switches to the on position one at a time with a 1 minute increment between them, then check each bulb, the hottest bulb corresponds to the last switch you turned off and the cooldest bulb being the first switch you turned off leaving the last bulb as the 2nd switch you turned off.:cheer:
Almost right, here is the answer.
1. Throw one switch and leave it on for 5 minutes.
2. Turn it off and then throw the second switch.
3. Walk upstairs and check which of the unlit lights is warm.
That will be the first switch, the lit bulb is the second switch and the cold bulb is the third switch.
Aww I was close :( I thought i had it for sure though, But I'll take half credit :D
Any mores?

I have eight wings, but yet I cannot fly. I work long hours, making food for my family. If only more people were my friend I could save the world from green-house gases.
