Ghost had better comments then anyone else here so far (except maybe about being bored). Those are all the reasons countries go to war, other than being provoked/attacked or to help allies.
Get rid of morality argument. We're talking about war after all.
War, in my opinion, is just another part of life. Extermination is the name, think about genocide. War is just another way the most able and fit get to pass on their genes. Whoever wins gets the right to survive (there are no such things as human rights or equality).
Ghost brought up valid reasons. Don't know why you guys are so ****y.
Thank you, ski, for actually posting valid thoughts and ideas instead of getting ****** at other peoples reasons.
I agree with ski,
It is entirely justifiable, but that is based on who is believing it :)
Simalrally, (yes i know i cant spell it right) healthcare is stopping human evolution.
Plus, all the antibiotics and crap we've made has only made more super-diseases.

Pride in country~Nationalism
Imperialism
Bored
Resources
To fight the good fight
to fix a slight on you or country
Going to war for national pride is no longer a justifiable reason. As I said, we live in a global community now.
Imperialism is just another name for empire building. Those days are gone as well and it is not a justifiable reason to go to war.
Bored is just ridiculous.
Going to war for resources is poor logic in the modern world as war is a resource user and the resources probably would have been available through trade anyway. This is not a justifiable reason.
"To fight the good fight" is just too vague and open to different interpretations to be justifiable.
"To fix a slight to your country" ???? Are we all 10 years old? Sorry this is not a justifiable reason to go to war.
Any furthur trolling, err, I mean questions?
Response to OP: No.
^ Then I direct you to the question asked by the OP again.
So, is there ever a justifiable reason to attack a country, other than that its military forces have struck at yours?
Anything else is just off topic.
