Bring Back The Attack Button Age 2 Needs War!!!!
Age 2 needs to have war for long term sustainability. This is one of the major issues that a lot of Age 1 players have with this game. Once the quests are over there will be nothing left to do and nothing for people to want to spend money on. You can like or dislike fighting, but it is what kept people spending money in Age 1 long after the quests were over.
Once the Age 2 quests are over, what is there to do? The answer is nothing. The fun factor will have waned and people will leave. This will ultimately be the death of Age 2. Evony has told us their focus is on Age 2 and that leaves a huge portion of it's player base and money base left being ignored. If Age 1 isn't going to be the focus then it is nothing but a dying game and Evony's core base will be gone. Remember Age 2 was supposed to be a patch not a different game. So the question is how do we get Age 2 acceptable for the Age 1 players to want to transfer over? War is one of the topics that Evony needs to re-review to finish it's plans of patching Age 1 with Age 2. I have a solution on how to please the both Age 1 and 2 players so that game will be able to sustain and draw interest from the Age 1 crowd.
My solution to the issue of being a farmer or warrior is to institute a "Non Combatant System". In this system players would not be allowed to engage in combat with any other players. This is where all beginners would start. The player can stay as non combatant for as long as they want. It would be up to them when they want to make the switch from a non combatant to a warrior. Once a player has made the switch they can not go back unless they want to buy some item that let's them switch back.
There are other areas I think that Evony needs to look at to make Age 2 acceptable, but I want this thread to be focused on trying to add war into Age 2. Please comment and let me know if this is an acceptable solution for both Age 1 and 2 players. Evony reps, mods, you have started something good by finally communicating with the community. Please we would love to hear your comments on this topic and ultimately what Evony's plans are for long term sustainability. So please let your thoughts be heard.
