This is my problem with their entire balancing system. They have 6 live servers now that have generated many active players. As an example, prestige farming has recently been nerfed. Ok, I agree it was not working as intended but with each nerf comes the fact that a large majority of players are going to be stuck where they are. The people at the top who were able to make use of these "design flaws" are going to stay at the top and those at the bottom will have an immense struggle to compete.
If they do the same thing with NPC balista farming more of the same is going to occur only on a much grander scale. Prestige is just a number, but people who have warehoused vast numbers of resources via NPC farming are going to have a distinct unfair advantage if this is changed mid game.
