I hate AgeII and i have played for a few days Age1 for me
I like age 2. Does that mean I'm breaking the rule of the thread?
Oh sorry, well what I don't like about it is the no attack option.
Aside form all the bugs that Age 2 currently has, I am not a big fan because there is no attack option. Colonization is a nice idea but to have that as your main way to wage war seems like it is going to get boring.
Here are some of the other issues I have as well
1. The amount of money you have to spend to stay competitive.
2. Stratagems - Especially the one that nukes your food. If you take that one out I could probably live with the rest.
3. Construction speed - The building and troop building speeds have been slowed down. I really don't like the cap on the troop builds. If you max out all the hero gear, the fastest you can build 1 archer is 60 secs. I understand that need to keep a level playing field but I would have the max archer speed to something like 20 secs.
4. Game speed - One positive that came out of the beta was the 10x speed. It made things a lot more exciting. Right now it is back to that turtle speed again.
5. Facebook - It is a great way for them to bring in new players, but I am really against all the gifting that is allowed. I have always stated that the gifting should stop once the beginners protection is over.
Overall, there are some nice ideas with Age 2. Colonization has possibilities but it is not a good alternative to attacking. I wish they had taken the core model of Age 1 and expanded on that. Age 2 is not a sequel to Age 1, but a completely different game.
The attack button should be put back in. It should be there with the colonize button. After you declare war and if you want to attack you should have to push another button and it sends information of the person's cords that you are going to attack and give them 1 hour notice. Maybe that will balance it?
If the attack option is the one of the only reasons aside from the bugs then you should all go and post your opinions in the on-topic section where the attack button is being discussed.
