Why do we curse???
I'd like to know why do we curse?????? I'm not really a person who should be posting all this after all usually people over 50 talk about this but I'm only 14......anyways why do we curse????
I curse about 15-20 times a day and try to keep it very low.....but my friend cursed 30 times in 10 minutes???????
In school it's cool so that's why some of us curse there.....but come on even the smart kids curse....
Outside I hear people who are like 40s-50s curse for no reason.....what for????????
Even During this post you don't know how many times I could have added a bad word but I just can't on the forum....
Who are we becoming always cursing always having disrespect to each other......people will not last long like this......

um i dont know why people thought up the idea to make words that were not good!? really if they had not done this it woulda been easier then people swearing all the time. instead of swearing they coulda just been talking! doi why make these words special is what i wanna know! like yeah lmao

Good question. I notice how often people curse, whether out of actual anger or in an effort to be funny. I do it around my friends for the latter reason.
-
And what the reason for it????
-
Two reasons:
Fashion
Inability to express anything otherwise

I almost never curse, and when I do it is usual for good reason. The problem I think is that some words are segrigated out, making them more commonly used. By denying access to something, you make people want it even more!
As for why people curse, some do it when they are genuinely angry. But most do it for attention or to let off steam. Most cursing on the internet falls into the latter catagory.
Though I do agree with you, Humanity is, and always has been, on a path to destruction. Some would say it is getting worse with age, instead of better. It has always been my belief that Humanity is a young race just begining to truly walk, and I honestly have doubt we will make it any farther. It is far more likely that we will trip and fall, forever ending our ascent in the scheme of the universe.

I blame modern hip-hop/rap, bruh.

we curse because its fun
there is something strangely satisfying about cursing. Otherwise when we stub our toes we would just say ow that hurt. Somehow cursing makes it feel just a little better.
Or when describing something, it just is rather fun to add a bad word. Maybe it makes you appear as if you dont have a good vocabulary but no matter how you look at it, cursing is just fun and addicting :P

And what's gonna happen next we start cursing at each other then someone get's actually mad for being cursed at...later a fight......an then jail....

The way I view it, its just using different words to express yourself. After being in the Marines for 4 years, cursing and racial slurs really don't affect me, and it amuses me when people around me apologize for it.
I used to curse all the time just because it was an easy way for people to understand your intensity on a subject, or just to make a joke about something. In the environment I was in it was very rare to go an hour without hearing multiple people swearing about something or at someone.
When I transitioned back to the civilian world though, I had to bite my tongue alot since I was accustomed differently and had to readjust.
It still comes pretty easy for me, but I don't have to watch myself anymore and think about what I'm going to say.
My question is, who made these words "bad" in the first place, and why are they so? Is it because of their sound? The meaning behind them? Its very easy to find alternative words to express the same meaning yes, but why are some words "better" than others?
