"The lee of the stone"

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.
A boy grows up in a WW2 prison camp.
There is a BEAUTIFUL performance of a Welsh lullaby, sung by Batman. It will bring you to tears if you're in the right mood.

I'll share my favorite quote from the movie.
What a great word... "opulence." :)Quote:
Boy: I could show you some rich pickings. Hundreds of houses left empty. I could show you some of the houses I lived in before Frank found me. They were luxuriant!
Basie: Luxuriant? You had good sense being born there. I'm sure there was good living.
Boy: There certainly was good living, Basie. There - there was opulence!

An American gets wrongfully thrown out of college then goes to London to stay with his brother. He gets involved with a football (soccer) firm and.............if you can't get it after that then you don't know it. (Elijah Wood plays the lead role)
Hooligans.
I'll add another clue to the last movie I suggested. I really thought it was one of the easier movies I've said, but it seems to have slowed this thread to a near halt, sorry. :(
New clue: It's a WW2 movie based in Asia, not Europe.
I don't know if the release name was Hooligans in the U.S. but it was just called Green Street here across the pond. Same thing anyway.........
As to what your one is Rota.............I don't know.
Yep.
Here is Batman singing that song...

It's not actually his singing voice, but it is a scene of Christian Bale(Batman) lip synching the Welsh tune. Empire of the Sun was Christian's film debut. It loses it's impact out of context, but I can assure you the scene is much more powerful when seen in the movie.
New movie: Two Canadian brothers make a movie about beer, eh. They play some hockey, too, you hosers. After drinking an entire vat of beer, one brother puts out a building fire by urinating on it. The brewery is plotting world domination with a mind control beer, eh. Oh, did I forget to mention the beer gives their dog super powers?
