They have to reinforce the member.
Attack the person back. They might recall in order to save their resources.
A good alliance offers the following services:
- troop reinforcements, arriving just in time, to smash your attacker's armies.
- counter attacks against the attacker or his alliance mates
- diplomacy - does your attacker really want to declare war against a whole alliance (or alliance family)?
- your alliance mates can send you resources and troop garrisons to help you rebuild quickly after a successful attack against your city.
they can reinforce...and after ur attacked they can send u resources to get u back on ur feet if u lose
So, if somebody declares "war", they can recall that?
is this an entry for thee world chat thread?
I have changed alliances twice because of their inaction to offer me any support! Sometimes just getting the right advice can be helpful! Sometimes you need your alliance to act on your behalf in dealing with the other alliance in order to stop the attacks...So far, I am yet to see any meaningful help that alliance will offer me! I have been colonised twice, first alliance did f-All, and the second time second alliance offered me lots of advice(I do thank them for that) but I am really in need for troops and yet again it seems I am not important enough to be given that level of support! The only thing that alliance is good for is this: Being a member of one narrows down the number of attacks! That is it! Nothing more!
Nope, unless you're speaking specifically of one of your past alliances and not alliances in general. It might apply to bad alliances, but good ones will do what Boleslav said.
Alliances can be anything from entirely useless to a constant lifesaver in the game, it comes down to joining the right one.
Oh.....you're prolly in Age II. Which means that being in an alliance gives you the added benefit of......a chatroom? And, er....
What good are alliances in Age II? The main thing alliances are good for in Age I is attacking/defending PvP and since that's nerfed (for the time being)in Age II, I don't really think OP is asking that horrible a question.
Hmm Names like B.A.M.F come to mind and i love my alliances they always end up top ten and with out them i would have no one to vent about my annoyances with life, and i would never hear about my friends long distance drunken attacks atk's on lvl 10..er..uhm lvl 4 grasslands:duh:
Your city should be located near those of your alliance members. If it takes me more than 30min (with lv10 compass and lv10 relief station) to reinforce then you're on your own....
B.A.M.F came from S1! :cheer:
The point of an alliance is that there will be someone who knows more about the game mechanics than you, and added knowlegde can improve your gameplay, like for example, i've been playing AgeI for a year, and i only figured out how to use the favorites button last month :duh: someone had to tell me that :)
Join an alliance that suits your play style, there are Sim (don't attack anyone) alliances, War alliances and Lets have HALF the server blue alliances (don't get me started on them). I like war alliances as you get more freedom, less politics and more overall fun.
Seriously, Quit whining. Alliances don't "save" you from getting attacked, if you can't help yourself first.
1) If you join an alliance, make sure you can pull your own weight (Don't beg all day for resources
2) Learn to read forums & guides on how to build troops/cities,research, etc.
3) An alliance is only as strong as it's weakest link. Follow rules 1 & 2 so you don't get booted for being #3.
1) Alliances in Age 2 have the same reinforcement benefits as Age 1, plus some extra benefits:
-You can reinforce a fellow member for the inital colonize attack - the one where distance and beacon tower matters. (this is very similar to an Age1 "attack" function.)
-You can reinforce a fellow member for the suppression attack - the one which occurs 8 hours after the colonize.
-If all of that fails, you can reinforce a fellow member that has been colonized, for the uprise attack.
-You can reinforce a fellow member who is a Suzerain, and has a colony that is uprising.
2) Additionally, in age 2, being in an alliance means you can get help taking historic cities. While the base historic12 can be solo'd, the level 14 and 16 historic city will need more than 1 person, and the 18 (atlantis) will almost certainly be an alliance-wide effort.
3) In my opinion, being in a bad alliance is worse than being in no alliance at all. However, you also should understand that if you log in once every 3 days and you don't say anything in alliance chat for a month, you won't expect a lot of help when you get colonized. People are not going to help you if they dont know you.
