You may not have liked the heated discussion, but clearly there is a lot that can be easily done to colonization to make it more competitive. More competitive means more strategy! Even more money for evony!
Example: Invisible reinforcement during colonization. This ruins many oportunities for players to use strategy...or use strategems. Obviously on the strategem issue...if you could see troops comming you could try and send them home with beseige enemies fort to resue all....also attacker can use cover up armies maneuvers.....ambush from all sides etc..etc...
In addition to stratagems that make money for Evony there are strategies that make it more fun for us! Last second reinforments, last minute scouts or maybe I will try reinforcing fast while you still offline and cant use a stratagem? This is the fun part of PVP..the give and take ... strategy, counter strategy. You have a bunch of archer but little else..what do I need to send to win? If I can't win, do I simply leave to fight another day? What if it will be close? The combinations are endless.
Example: Ultimately you need new players to join grow and have fun. There certainly is a turnover in the game. (exactly the % I don't know, but I will bet it is very high. Yet you have a game mechanic that plunders a low prestige players troops if he try to join the team effort of the ally? It is like saying, "Sorry guy, you are worthless, further guy, you are so worthless we will kill a % of you troops if you try to help reinforce you new friends?" Come on. It is a really really ridiculous rule. Drives low prestige players out and away! That cant help Evonies bottom line! That cant help strategy and "thinking" mans game either. It eliminates a whole range of strategic options! (or severely hampers them)
So you see this isn't just hounding Evony and critsizing. I honestly wish to see the game improve! I have stated many times that ageII actually has the core framework to be a great game. It just needs a little playbalance here and there. (and a plunder function. ;) )
