That would make things too easy, sillygoose.

Well I see you still insist on being a non conformist terminology wise. However translating what you said to what you meant.
100% decrease in build time would be an infinate build speed.
You still confused speed and time but it is nice to see you finally understanding the concept.
Faster technically relates to speed, not time, in this case. However I do know that "fast" as an adjective can apply to time as well. Not as common and certainly not in this case, but it is a possible point of confusion.
At least finally you get the most important part. Speed is inversely proportional to time.

There is no speed where you can reach any destination instantly. You can never reach 100% reduction in build time.
Red -- wouldn't it be "more correct" to say that "as your increase in speed approaches infinite, your construction rates approaches zero?" Is it REALLY an inverse proportion when they are "progressing" at different rates? The increase in speed seems to be a geometric progression asymptotically approaching infinity, while the faster you build, the closer you get to zero build time in a straight linear progression. I mean, it "seems" inverse in that one is increasing and the other decreasing.... but... proportionally?
anyway, I am glad you finally agree that 100% faster can (with the right definition of "faster") be considered instant. As I said in the original post, after I figured out what the actual applied incremental formula was, this "phrase" (100% faster) struck me as funny.
Dawn, Al is right, the ONLY destination you can reach "instantly" is the one that is "infinitely close"... you travel the infinitely small distance in the infinitely small amount of time and you arrive "here, now"... instantly arriving at your destination.
1/∞ / 1/∞ = 1/1 (the infinities cancel out) = 1
where 1 =[here, now]
If you want to debate metaphysics, then I contend that none of us knows where we are or where anything else is. Furthermore, time is only a piece of the fragmented human concept of the universe and only exists as a feeble human attempt to quantify the unquantifiable.
If you want to talk about Evony, then 100% increase in build speed means buildings are constructed twice as fast.
