I originally posted this in another thread, but it degraded to people just insulting each other, instead of having and intelligent discussion:
I've decided not to complain anymore too because it's not going to solve anything. I have made my stance very clear, and even laid out the logical course this game will take now that NPC farming is not as effective. Complaing about it only proves what the weaker players have been ranting about ever since this came out, that the big players are only bigger because they "cheated" by taking advantage of the game mechanics. The truth is, that if you are going to excell at this game, you have to develop strategies that are better than what the smaller players use. Always has, always will be. To be the best in any game, you have to be flexible and smart. Did the patch take away a strategy for countering troop upkeep? Kinda of. Will it effect my gameplay? A little. Will ANY of my troops die from starvation? Not unless I can't log on for a few days, which never happens. Why? Because I, like many other large army players, have already adapted to the new change. Unfortunatly, yes, that change does mean that smaller players who didn't use NPC farming to raise a large army WILL suffer the brunt of the change. Instead of every large army player constantly writing in the forums about now having to wipe out the little guy to survive, we really should just shut up and do it. I promise you, the quickest way to get some kind of compromise on NPC farming is causing all the players who ranted about it being a cheat to the devs, crying out to the devs about now being farmed off of every server. Adaptation is the name of the game. Prove that this "fix" did not hurt the big players, but instead, sacrificed the smaller ones.
