still not enough. all cutting food consumption will do is make people build more
Once again, No warning of any change, no explanation as to why the change was made and WHY if this is the FINAL version are they changing things anyway ???
I've done the money spending bit, i've been here day in day out working up to be a meduim sized player and still dont stand a chance of completing the game.
Put the NPC's back to how they were and leave the damn settings alone !
I've supported this game along with most people but now i'm saying enough is enough.
One more change to anything that will reduce my chances of continuing and i'm giving up.
I'll put my money somewhere else that might actually be enjoyable rather than a constant battle with the developers killing off the last bit of enjoyment here.
Sorry Gazza but i'm with you bud, this needs to end and fast.
Number 3! Number 3! Number 3! *jumps up and down*
Btw someone might have already pointed this out but markets can get plundered too which is great news for attackers.
Also, I like (your gun) the 3rd option. ;)
The problem is how much it takes to actually fight another player. If they have a massive army, the rally point hard-cap for sending troops is what is requiring these massive armies in the first place.
The 6-8 hour regen time will set a fluctuating limit on army size. Can't make what you cant feed. Resource upgrade for farms just means that they will feed more troops, but it wont reduce what is needed to actually make progress against a defender with a large army. Lowering food consumption will help maintain army size, but it doesnt address the game mechanics of combat...which are what is screwed up and need to be addressed quickly.
Many large army folks are at stalemate with each other simply due to...what fun is it to attack, lose all my troops (while killing some of theirs), rebuilding the masses again...and fighting a protracted war of attrition? This mechanic "requires" a massive army simply to make progress!
6-8 hour regen on npc is the fairest fix that shouldn't require a ton of time to implement.
we need to rewsolve this in some way.... don't care if it is lowered upkeep, or restoring the NPC's but leaving it this way will slow the game down to a point where it will be so boring it won't be worth playing.
If they want to fix the army lvls, its hard to do with any of this changes. still i was thinking in something more in the lines of 6-8h also :(.
Anyway, i would prefer if they buff (double it atleast ><) the farm prod. Making citys full of farms will become a nice way to keep huge armys, when citys with no resource fields made will become useless.
Also the real thing they need to fin is the send army cap. Really wth with that? when the defender can easy put 1M troops in his city with some help from the ally (10 ally members sending the cap 100k troops r enough, w/o counting his own troops) you cna only attack with 100k. I cant get why theres a cap, or why its 100k (for most of us, 90k). The way combat is, you cant actually attack a huge player, its impossible cause you will lose everything sending little 100k waves to the death :S.
Probably if they adress it, ppl will start using the armys between them, and the amount of troops around will become a bit more "normal". But now, who want to attack a high lvl palyer? its imposible to beat :S
PD: soz for the offtopic, but i think if they want to cap army lvls, it s easier if they let us destroy our armys agaist others players :)
I say 3 because 2 would only work if we abolished the food consumption completely.
I think all three are good solutions....and all would work equally well.
I like the idea of a hard cap, coupled with a reduction in food demand best.
