How to get Materials

Ok, so we all know that we need materials (Iron Ore, Fabric, etc...) to do research in the workshop so we can level up our heros. Problem is, they don't drop anymore when you hit valleys and NPC's. I don't know why, maybe it is a bug or maybe they just turned them off.

Solution: Do a Commission Quest. Donate troops to help a player uprise via the Commission Quest. You will earn game coins when you do this. Sometimes 30 coins, sometimes 80 coins, sometimes 120 coins. You will earn whatever the "bid" amount is if you win the bid to have your troops fight in behalf of the person who issued the Anti-Colonization request. If the player chooses to use your troops and you win the bid, then use the coins to by the materials. The materials are cheap. So you can buy plenty of meterials with 60 coins. Then you can do plenty O research in the workshop and level up your heros.

If you can find any commission quests, and when you do they allow you to accept them. In most cases you will not be able to accept them when you are a high title.

I think that will change as Age 2 grows and players develop. Age 2 is only 8 weeks old or so. So many players don't even know that they can pay coins to have someone help them uprise or EARN coins by donating troops to an uprise. And as more and more players get higher and higher titles, it will be interesting to see how the market develops for the Anti-Colonization Quests.... Just like the resource market has a development curve, the Anti-Col quest will to. But it will be much much slower. And we have no idea how it will develop as it is a totally new feature in Age 2.

commission quests are complete and utter wastes of crap wtf i cant help against someone with a lower title?!?! so people with lower titles shouldnt be able to attack me then and since most players never make it past knight ur SOL

do the commision quests work ? can anyone confirm that ?
i tried a few, i am 100% sure i won the bid with units. but received no coins

Can anyone confirm they completed a commision quest successfully ?

I always get the title problem even when I'm a Knight. It's weird..

I have done 3 Commission Quests. Each was an epic fail due to some bugs or something.
Each time the Suzerain of the colonized player who issuesed the Anti-Colonization has been a level or two higher than my title, so I was able to do it. But each time I ran into a snag and was unable to win any coins.
The first one I did I accepted the Quest and sent troops to the player. But the Commission Battle bar was stuck for like 3 days and never changed.
The second time I did a Commission Quest, same thing happened.
The third time I did a Commission Quest, same thing happened. So I emailed Evony and told them the bar was stuck/unchanged for like 3 days. A few hours later after I contacted them the bar was gone and my troops were still camped in the players city eating 500k food/hr of MY food because they are camp status. So after another 2 days of them being camped in the players city I mailed the player and said "WTF? You gonna use my troops to uprise? Hurry up, they are eating all my food."
Then no response. Then I recall my troops and it took 26 hrs for them to return. JUSt AFTER they arrived back at my city the player mails me back and says "Ok, thanks! I am uprising now!" So I told them it is too late, I already recalled my troops. Then I told them "next time someone donates hundreds of thousands of troops to help you uprise, try and use them as soon as you can. It is expensive to have that many troops camped in your city for days on end not being used."
Needless to say I did not win the 70 coins. I think there was a bug up until the point when I reported it.

same problems as i had twice then. Not going to bother with it unntil someone can confirm it works

Evony supposedly patched the sticking 'Anit-Colonization' bar. I had the exact same buggy problems though with no cents rewarded.

Take comfort in knowing that it's worse for the quest issuer as the cents are deducted from there account automatically, regardless if no uprise battle ever takes place due to bugs lol.

They do work, i know there is problems if the person who issued the commission quest has his gates closed u dont win, or if suppression settings get put to 0.

Player who colonized the guy who issued the commission quest gets a report thing saying its been issued... i know i wouldn't be fighting where any player in the server could reinforce there entire arsenal of troops. :P
