On Canada Day, it is traditional to strip naked, coat yourself with Maple Syrup and roll around in fallen Maple Leaves. Then you play hide and seek with the bear.
This is where the old saying comes from:
"Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you."

At least that is what I have been told but I don't know much about Canada, except that they spend 75% of their time shovelling snow.
