Cold Hard Facts + My Opinion at the end
I'll separate things into logical sections so they are easier to read. (Hopefully)
PS3:
Company: Sony (Known for making reliable hardware) Develops 10-year console plans and is still releasing content for PS2.
Console Price: $300
Disc Format: Blu-Ray (50GB storage, ALSO: The name Blu-ray Disc refers to the "blue laser" used to read the disc, which is 5 times faster than a HD-DVD) Can play Blu-Rays or DVDs.
Online*: $0, Notable missing feature is "cross-game voice-chat". (Millions of registered users) Laggg and errors depend solely on your connection/Internet Service Provider.
Design Defect: YLOD (Yellow-Light-Of-Death) Usually occurs 2-years after purchase, can be fixed for $200(Cdn) by Sony(1Day) or $50(Cdn) by yourself(3hours). I've fixed YLOD myself, beleive me it takes 3hours & 50 dollars and its been working like its brand new for 1.5months+... i'll keep you guys updated. Sony's new slim PS3s have a greatly reduced chance of getting YLOD.
Hard-Drive: Ranging from (I think) 20GB-500GB
Controllers: Comes with/$60. Wireless. (Vibration and Sixaxis functionality). Free rechargable lithium ion battery than just needs to be plugged into your PS3 via the already supplied USB cable. FYI: You can buy the xbox version of a PS3 controller.
GPU/CPU and all that jazz: I'm not even going to get into it. You can go in archives and find my old posts with the specs. (Consensus was always that PS3 has the solid edge here)
Exclusive Games: Requires and entirely different post which I will update at a later time.
* = New optional Service called 'Playstation Plus', costs $60 annually. Provides multiple features and free content.
XBOX360:
Company: Microsoft (Known for their Operating system (Windows) software monopoly) Has not released a game for Xbox since the 360 was released. Knowingly released 360 with 'RROD' defect.
Console Price: $200
Disc Format: HD-DVD (30GB storage) Cannot play Blu-rays, only DVDs.
Online: $60 Annually, Notable missing feature is "conference video-chat". (Millions of registered users) Laggg and errors depend solely on your connection/Internet Service Provider.
Design Defect: RROD (Red-Rings-Of-Death) Customers having to trade-in for 2or3or4 consoles is not unusual. Can occur at any time, can be fixed for $0 by Microsoft(?? Days). I dunno the time it takes to get it back, sorry. Microsoft recently came out with their new models that greatly decrease the odds of getting RROD. Yes, it took them 5 years.
Hard-Drive: Ranging from (I think) 4GB-500GB
Controllers: Comes with/$60. Wireless. (Vibration). $10-$20 AA batteries, Can be bought as rechargeable. (I think you need to buy an external charger for the batts though) FYI: You can buy the PS3 version of a Xbox360 controller.
GPU/CPU and all that jazz: I'm not even going to get into it. You can go in archives and find my old posts with the specs. (Consensus was always that PS3 has the solid edge here)
Exclusive Games: Requires and entirely different post which I will update at a later time.

PS3- CHEAPER!
I'm not sure what currency that is, but I did the same calculations in Canadian dollars and its the same story. You forgot to mention all the AA batteries they have to buy :D Oh and the external hardware they've got to purchase to get their system up to par.
And to add to that, 360 is only compatible with microsoft accessories. So if, for example: you liked a certain brand for a specific product... tough luck on your 360.
My opinion: PS3 is the clear winner.
BUT it is entirely up to you and your preference/needs.
EDIT: Still in progress...
