Other things you could do that is not a change according to your gameview is make npcs change level randomly, cause you never said they had to stay the same, or randomly change the hills to lakes and lakes to grasslands cause you never stated that could not happen, or have the npcs attack random players cause you never said they could not.
The fact that certain conditions in the game has stayed the same since it began results in people considering it a rule. You barely tell a player how to play as you like to keep the game a mystery, so you now state that as its a mystery you can do anything you like without notice because its a mystery and players should not be surprised or upset with these changes.
You do understand that upsetting your customers is a BAD thing, don't you.
Consider future modifications should be communicated with at least a weeks notice prior to the change, and perhaps some discussion on the forums to make sure that you thought out the change fully. Afterall I have seen plenty of comments from admins thanking players for pointing out strategic flaws caused by some updates in the past. We are not saying you cannot change the game, but help us to adapt to these changes first.
