If you make a thread and a member or group of members derails it then it's impossible to ignore them due to two factors:

1. They're forcing themselves on to your thread (you can't stop them in any way unless staff had specified that certain members are disallowed from posting in it).

2. Even if you ignore them, there will be somebody who will answer them, thus resulting in the thread's demise.

The whole point of a forum is to discuss topics that come to mind, so you answering me when I said that interesting threads get derailed with "So?" is ridiculous, since the problem here is that trolls are interfering with the main purpose of the forum.

So? Shut the smurf up and stop being a cry baby, cancer.

I never would have thought wanting a forum where threads aren't taken completely off track, and voicing my concerns about the state of the off-topic forum in regards to this was "being a cry baby".

Well rather than relying on ad hominem arguments, maybe you should counter what i'm saying with something credible then. Telling someone just to shut up only really seems to justify my position further because you have nothing to back up your viewpoint.
