First of all, almost nobody knew about the vote, and a large portion that did were not aloud to vote of one reason, or another...... go take a look at how many ppl voted, wait a min I'll save you the trouble, 61 people voted.... second everyone knows changing a surveys from the top voted idea, to a combination of the two highest voted idea's invalidates the survey, if this idea was on the table it should have been given to us as option (D). Not that it would have mattered much b/c like I said not many people had a voice in the matter.
lol? Really? Did you just claim that by adding the two top voted options we had together as one option they were able to satisfy 85% of the people that voted? lol? so.. hmmm.. let me get my calculator out... ok so why not add option A,B,&C together? then they would have satisfied 100% of the people that voted... right? I mean, am I the only one that reads that statement and thinks to themselves "WTF?"
If this was true there wouldn't be such an huge outcry from the community saying otherwise.
And another thing, how does the development team have all this time to butcher working game mechanic's, but can't fix chat log auto scrolling, inflated hero attack exploit, huge screen blocking governor button, disappearing hero's bug, disappearing troops bug, stagnate population bug.....the list goes on, but I think you get the idea.
Did you send a mail out telling players about the vote: No.
Did you give enough time to allow players to login after hearing about it via WC or casually checking the forum: No.
Did you give us a choice of NOT changing the NPC drafts: No.
Did you say you were going to combine 2 ideas together: No.
Did you state you planned on reducing drafts on players: No.
And combining multiple choices together make ALL choices NULL AND VOID. This is standard common practice for polls. Its like a vote for a new law. You offer options and people choose which is the least distasteful. you do not combine the options afterwards. Especially as there were only 3 options given in the first place.
I 100% believe the poll was an afterthought, never intended to be anything other than a way to try and make it SEEM like we had a say. The change was already being implemented. That is the ONLY reason the poll was so quick and out of the thousands of players only 61 did have a chance to take part.
and for reference if you have 3 options, and one is over 49% (50%+) IS A MAJORITY. Thats what a majority means, it means MORE than the others. With only 61 votes then 30+ were for option B. If the others were 5 for C and 26 for A, then B won.
I didn't really notice he said this till swesel pointed it out, it's almost comical if this is the reasoning behind the adding of the two options together, I would have never in a million year thought that someone would ever think that by adding two voting options together as one option would satisfy the people that voted for each..... you have to admit if this truly is the reasoning behind the merge other the two options it is pretty funny..... 36% of the people are in favor of option A, and 49% of the people are in favor of option B.....so if we use simple math we can assume 85% of the people would be in favor of a combination of the two? thats logical right? lol.....you have to laugh at that one.
TC by mixing the options it creates option D, this is not a representation of what the members wanted when you combine two seperate things that directly reduce each options effectiveness. The first rule in reacting to a poll or survey is make sure it is valid, E.G. Ask one thing for half the time and then another for half the time and say the results are the same. Same applies here. I know your trying to spin it a bit, but it doesnt help. Evony did try to take the peoples thoughts into account, but i PROMISE you that if a option D was presented as what it was changed to in that original survey those that voted for Option A and B wouldnt have voted for it.
And meanwhile as this discussion continues about the legitimacy of the poll and its results, I'm still trying to figure out what the huge advantage is of taking a level 14 or 16 over multiple level 12s (with regards to resources+troops invested in taking over one of these).
