Japan, as I said before, was reduced to almost nothing. Soldiers on islands they needed to protect were hiding in caves and bunkers. Food was scarce. Supplies were poorly transported. Soldiers suffered from bad diarea and were practically starving. Water was contaminated.
Yes, American troops went through that was well, but if you compare them, Japan will have the lower hand, definately.
