I see an error in logic here.....don't know if its valid logic though.
Even if you put on a delay won't everyone who is on delay still be showing up as their 1 minute delay times expire at different times?
I don't see this affecting the frequency of the war spamming posts in chat one iota.
If your alliance chat is dead, I suppose in an hour you will see it full of 60 war declarations. If our alliance chat is dead, I don't really care about the war declarations. It's when you are trying to hold a conversation and you get cut out by 20 of these in the time it takes you to reply.
Back to souring the milk. They won't sit there and try and spam war dec's if they know they have 6000 minutes to get through the list. On his note, all the jar heads who war dec one man alliances with reject names like WHITEPWR? You are no better. They want the attention, it's why they do these things. IGNORE. I'd do it with all war decs if they gave me Alliance ignore option too.
Too much time, its been a month since they posted the ad, and about 2 weeks ago there was a thread where the admin admitted they hadn't even started contacting people about positions yet.
Turning the declarations to a 1 minute delay is a fix that takes 10 seconds to add to the code, isn't a hard decision to make, and while not "fixing" the problem is a good enough work-around until they DO actually hire in-game moderators that there is no reason not to implement it.
id still rather see them just add a block function if players wish to use it
