The stable says it affects train times. But, it doesn't. :eek:
If all your HBR research is done, you can demolish the stable.

No, You need for research then thats it. Several of the building are like that.
Forgot the whole list of the ones you can dump after research.
once you have a workshop you don't need a forge
once walls are 10 you don't need a workshop or quarry
once relief station is 9/10 you don't need stable
you don't need an inn in every city
you don't need a market in every city (but i like them)
and finally warehouses are for noobs
you must have academy or you don't get research buff
you want feasting hall maxed
you want relief station maxed
you want embassy maxed
you want beacon tower maxed
you want rally 10
you want walls 10
everything else is debatable (as is some of this :) )
Personally, I think that's a waste of a good mickey script. All you get to do is see the level of the hero coming at you... yay! You can't stop him from the attack, and you're going to defend with your best hero anyway. What is really the use here?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't know of any other bonuses for a Beacon Tower 10...
Spend that mickey on a 'rack or a cottage... even a sawmill or mine.... you'll get way more use out of it.

Lv6 Foresees the army branch (pike, archer, cav)
Lv8 Foresees exact number of the enemy
Lv9 Sees the level of hero leading the charge
Lv10 Foresees the enemy's level of military technology
Forgive me, I posted previously that Beacon 10 foresees incoming hero level. You get that at Lv9. :duh:
So, without wasting a Mickey Script on your tower (the original arguement of my post), you should be able to see everything you need to "react". Whether it's get RF'd, launch a counter, loop defenses, set range, whatever.
Knowing the MT of your attacker? For a Mickey Script? After the first month or two of the server I assume it's at a 10 anyways. No need to waste a script on it, unless you like symmetry in your town and want EVERYTHING at 10. If that's the case, then Beacon Tower is one of the last things you should be spending Mickey's on. That's what I'm debating! :soapbox:

I have never used a script on a tower
If I remember correctly Level 10 Beacon tower Tells you the NAME of the Attacking hero
And You need Level 10 Beacon Tower when scouting otherwise anyone with a Level 10 BT and Info 10 you won't get a full report on
Basically info 10 and BT 10 don't work unless used together
So Cap a NPC 10 and rebuild it ;)
According to the Wiki, and as I stated above (and corrected myself for the same mistake), a Beacon 10 gives you the attacker's Military Technology level. It's on the Evonypedia as well....
Would tend to agree with you here, that they work hand in hand. But if I don't get the defender's tech levels or buildings, it's no big deal. After a couple of months into the server, I'm assuming techs are 10 anyway, and I'll check out the buildings when I take the town...
But yes ... take a Lv10 NPC... would be the easiest way to correct this matter... however we were discussing the use of Mickey Scripts and abilities of Beacon Tower at specific levels. :duh:

I took "maxed" to mean Lv10, but as that was not your intention, I guess I'll give you that one ;)!

Without beacon 10 you won't ever get a full scout report on a city that has Beacon 10 and info 10
Without Beacon 10 Info is only at level of BT when scouting
So Beacon is one of the more important things to upgrade to 10 if building a city from scratch and don't want to convert a NPC 10

Meh... We'll agree to disagree. Personally, as long as I get the troop count and wall defenses on the SR, that's all I need.
SO .. with that said... a Mickey on a Beacon is a waste.
I don't care to play Age II, it never impressed me... But for Age I, a Beacon 9 is plenty sufficient.
