Crayons are awesome....
Dude...I know!!!!!! I love crayons! Great form of expression!
Maxfield Parrish and Alphonse Mucha.
I am not familiar, but I will definitly check them out.
My favorite forms of art are singing and writing. The human voice is just amazing. And words written just so in the local language have a very moving effect. Sometimes English words fall very short when trying to express a feeling or emotion by way of writing. Sometimes Spanish words express it the best. Sometimes Japanese words do. Every language has a special way of communicating feelings. Japanese is all about feeling what is not said directly but very indirectly. Which is why Haiku sounds so bland but is actually very very deep and moving because the writer and reader are communicating feelings which we cannot pick up on unless we understand the culture.
I also hear that Hebrew writing is very moving as well.
In order to fully appreciate and feel what the writer is trying to express we need to come from that persons culture and fame of mind. And that is a very hard place to put ourselves at times. To really appreciate writing and music means to place ourselves in the culture and mindset of the artist. And that is the challenge as well as the beauty. And when we can do it, it is awesome.
I am so glad that you said that. I think the same exact thing. I've been waiting all night to hear something like you just said. The English language isn't exactly the most sensual or soft language we are beat by some spanish and French languages in that department.
Regardless thank you for sharing,I think the exact same thing.
Give you an example of why singing and writing are amazing form of art well lets see.
I love Shakespeare,His plays were put into modern writing and then presented to us in multitudes of different languages, even Shakespeare's own languages of Latin and French. Take Hamlet and Macbeth they were created long before our time, and even today the famous Shakespearean works are belted out by singers and presenters with great prowess! This of which is beautiful.
That is a simple example of singing and writing being great forms of art. If you would like another example feel free to ask.
I am a recent fan of Victoris Francis' works, I can stare at her illustrations for ages and just be amazed.
