unlimited troops to be sent out at level 10 rally spot

Idea: Level 10 Rally Spot let's unlimited troops to be sent out from that given city. maximum number of troop 'campaigns' is still 10

Reason: Take out mega troop-stacked/fortification-stacked cities more effectively.

Effects: More balanced combat. Less stagnated servers, even the older ones

To the opposition who are gonna say: "This will promote big armies": Think about how much resources it cost to have a big army. If you can afford it, you should be able to use it.

What would war ensigns do from now on? You are making them obsolete with this idea.
Don't say we could still use them on 1-9 rally's. Noone of consequence uses a 1-9 rally after their first week.

If this was implimented it would take ALL of the skill from the game and you could just one shot ANY city on the map, you need to take the time to learn how to attack effectively and make every troop in each wave count. This would destroy what evony is...............if you can support large armies you can use them as the game is now.

Perhaps to make it a bit more difficult to get this you have to have 10 lvl 10 techs and/or town hall lvl 10 and/or a lvl 10 barracks.

The rally is one of the top priorities for a fresh built city. Most people just cap 10NPC's which need no scripts to have a 10 rally. Even if you did not allow scripts to be used on a rally, people would just cap 10 NPC's. Even if you lowered script drop rate, the rally would be one of the top 3 uses for a script, usually the top priority.

a little more realistic, ya? with a big enough army you should be able to one-shot anything. like if you threw enough soldiers of today at a city in one wave, you could take it over. its not like troops need transports to move and would therefore be limited to transport limitations. here(medieval ages) where soldiers are marching, limiting how many you can send at once makes no sense

The is a horrible idea for the reasons already mentioned. Just want to add one.


There is an attack overflow glitch that has been around for months and doesnt look like it will ever be fixed.

With this glitch and an unlimited rally I could attack anyone with ~2mil archers and win.

Unless they were also packing over 2mil archers, then the internet would
explode.

Even worse i could reach this glitch threshold with cav, and then things would be crazy with a fast unkillable army of ponies.

2 mil archers in defense would do even more damage. try taking on 2 mil archers with packets of 100k archers...lets see how far you get lol

Well if they have 2 mill archers defending, then you kill range setters with small attacks and phract smack them. Watch over a million archers die in one 125k phract wave. Different defenses require different attack strategies. Or you could be lazy and just scoutbomb any defense until you're ready to send a real attack.

if you are really trying to kill archers with archers you really do need to learn more on attacking.........cav/phract are a simple solution to massive defending arch

it was stated in the post you quoted to kill the 5k range setter first, which are indeed the traps/abatis/trebs plus ATs dont affect cav/phract smacks

If you have 1 mil troops you should be able to launch 1 mil troops at once. if you cant afford 1 mil troops thats your problem. if you can afford it, you should be able to use it the way you like

no one agrees with you, that would ruin the game and no one would pay to play or even play at that, in 1-2 months the game would be dead....................why would you even want to play a gave with no skill involved, sounds like you want to go play farmville or frontierville.

if we make unlimited troops sent out from lvl 10 rally spot, then think about how AgeI players will try and make bigger armies, and not be able to keep up with troop upkeep? they would spend all thier time on the game farming to maintain the army

its why they create new servers like rats reproducing. the servers are dead anyways in a few months after start because one alliance will do that, stagnate a server as it is. this offers a way to change that a bit

How will this suggestion "change that bit?"
Do you not think the one power alliance will use this tactic? They will use unlimited troop marches to crush everyone faster, and stagnate the server sooner.

its lets people retaliate more effectively. and it makes it involve more skill on how you go about defending and attacking and managing resources and troop builds.

Yes, well said. It will make the game even more so "whoever has the most troops wins."

I understand the desire to balance the game. Lot's of people make suggestions that empower players more. But, they don't realize that any way you strengthen attack mechanics, will only strengthen those big players even more. The scales won't become more balanced, they will tip even more toward the strong players.

look at the orientals, they have big army and they could win. quantity vs quality situation. smaller military with more tactics or large army with less tactics. i'd take the large army. swarming ftw

there will be no skill in attacking or defending, only that who has the most troops for that attack or defence wins basically. so the only skill will be who can sleep the least in order to farm the most to keep the biggest army

thats because big players have more SKILL at building. probably pay more than your average player. and have fun. its not so much balance as it is keeping big players happy so they keep paying

I take it you don't even know the overflow glitch i am talking about, once u can a certain number of troops that have over ~2.2bil attack, then they CANT be hurt.

Give this to an attacker and bad things will happen.

big players have the advantage as it is, with your idea it would tip it in there favor even more to the extent where the non payers will not play and then the payers wont have anything to do and there arent that many payers as compared to non payers so they will get bored from no activity

no a player should be rewarded for his ability to pay and or spend more time playing, and they do have/get those rewards already.......................they have bigger armies due to farming more/getting vestas blessing, do you really want them to unleash there 50mil+ size armies on you in 1 wave? come on you cant really believe that this idea would help the game in any way could you? i mean it is cool to think about sending 1 mil cav at someone to see what kind of carnage you could cause but in all honesty this is a horrible idea

its called close gates, then attack them back. if you cant attack back, its your own fault for not building up and/or leaving gates open and/or for not being that active, etc.

No, not at all what I am saying. I am saying that the best army/leader/skill/etc... should win. Not the biggest or smallest.

Consider this, you have an army of 500,000 troops and a 4 year old general who is still in diapers and talks of flying horses and swamp monsters as part of the war strategy. Then you have an army of 10,000 lead by a very experienced general who is 50 years old and has seen more battles than you could imagine. Who would win?

It would be the same as a noob Evony player with tons of troops but no experience being able to own everyone soley because they have more troops.

Well, I would actually say the 4 year old. The officers would not listen to the 4 year old and would just go do their own thing with their squads and kill their enemies.


But I do believe that the best leader should win. But that doesn't/won't always happen.

@ the OP, you said this was for age2..................you have HC you can launch from for bigger waves and then the added bonus from war ensign gets you much bigger waves, you should be satisfied

Go watch the movie 300 its basically the real story, if your not satisfied do some research on the real story, but once again the game was not made to be realistic and japan was only making a point
