Yeah, the rally spot is a good tool. I really helps me to learn about layering. LAyering is so silly sometimes. I mean, when I do some rally spot exercises and just add ONE, ONE freakin cav then enemy losses on certain units will jump up by hundreds of thousands.
Or if I add 1 catapult or 1 ram... it is totally silly how it will effect an attack. But that is how it works so I am trying to learn it.
Also, if I add 1 of everything then sometimes adding 1 of a certain troop will make things worse, not better. So you really got to play with it...
The major guides on the forum all agree that attack fire is simultaneous. So on the second round, the archers get to fire at the AT and the AT get to fire back, then the casualties are removed. If this is not the case, you could do further testing it a post an emendation to the current guides.
