Medal Farming

Ok this isn't so much as a guide more of a word of advice. If you are having trouble getting medals, especially of you are on one of the newer servers and you just can't get those medals, don't waste tonnes of time looking for new strategies. If you can see that one tactic absolutely isn't working then try another, when i say absolutely isn't working I don't mean after a few days, not even after a week. Me myself as a non-paying player was desperate for medals to rank up. That darn rose medal, one of if not the trickiest medal to find.

This is what I did, find a tactic that worked for a few people and try it. I used the hods medal guide but I chose just to find a lvl 3 valley (I only use flats lakes and forests, they seem to be the best for me), and keep attacking it with 200 archers leaving a 10 second gap in between, and abandoning after each attack.
Tip with the heros: I always find that it's NOT the intelligent heros, but the ones with little attack that get you the medals. You most of the time get medals for attacks that wern't a thrashing, fights that were even. When you have an over 70 attack hero that makes the fight easy to win, making it very hard to get a medal.
Persistence is the key word. You should have at least level 9 ralley spot. I use all my heros up from one city with 200 archers, and then when those ones are returning send all your heros from the other city (if you have 2 cities which I do), after 50-100 attacks I had 3 lion, 1 cross and 2 roses. and I only spent like 30-60 mins a day. If I spend over an hour I'll probably get something like twice that. And all this is on one of the servers with the lowest drop rate! People who say they're getting medals every few attacks are either lying or are the luckiest people in evony. Do not expect to get that! You have to accept the fact that it's gonna take time. I even e-mailed evony getting frustrated myself. And they said: "Medals are one of the most sought after and prized items in Evony. Because of this, they are necessarily difficult to find, but we can assure you that all of the medals are possible rewards from winning battles."
If you find that after 50 attacks you have nothing do NOT say that the tactic isn't working. A lot of it is luck.
One more thing, people who say scout a valley to find one with certain troops, that you shouldn't capture the valley then abandon because different troops come to the valley, they're wrong. My first rose I got on a valley with a hero, 150 warriors and 50 sword. My second rose I got on a valley with no hero and 56 pikemen. If you win the battle with not too many troops then you are in for a chance with a medal. The more attacks you land the more chances you have of getting a medal. If you are only landing an attack every hour or half an hour or whatever you have much less chances of getting a medal. This seems to be the most commonly used tactic and it is not a quick medal tactic but overtime it is a tactic that you are sure to get medals with. Link removed

the tactic doesnt change, but it does work you just have to work harder if you're on a later server. And if you're on a lower drop rate server then it feels a whole lot better when you earn a medal because you worked much harder for it.

Medal farming is hard for me, I get 1 medal in about every 30 or so attacks. One time I did get 1 rose and 1 lion from 20 attacks. :D On server NA28, someone in my alliance claimed to have gotten 3 medals in 3 attacks. Nonsense is you ask me.

1 medal in 30 isn't bad thats like 10mins worth of hits?

It is bad if you only play pre-nerf servers =P

I'm sitting on over 1k of many medals

I did this and I've gotten 5 rose medals and 3 lion medals today on NA28.

I got my roses using 400-500 scouts attacking lv. 1-3 valleys. I just can't seem to find any honor medals. I've been trying for two weeks and gotten 1. Any advice?

I've received 10 Lion medals over the last 50 days from multiple attacks on different lvl 2 NPC cities.

I got my honor medals from lvl 5 npcs

I don't know what site you linked but it sounds like the 25 medals a day method. Which is what I have used on every server. In my own opinion medal drop rates are not different from every server, but I believe that on the newer servers they are turned down a bit in the beginning so that newer players can't shoot up in level (only coiners can, good thinking Evony). The fact is I have learned that repetitive attacks have gained me the most medals, period.

Although I can go a day without getting much of anything, the next will be prosperous.

Honor medals are best found in level 4 NPC's. They were for me anyways.

You can attack these without losses with 300 ballistas, and use 300 trannys for the resources. But you probably knew that. If your archery or horseback riding are not lvl 8 or so, you may use more of each.

i got honor medals from lvl 7-8 valleys and lvl 3 npcs

what is the recomend hero atack for farming the higher level npcs for justice, nation medals, etc.?

ive been attacking level 5 NPCs contantly for weeks now and havent recieved a single honor medal..

This is a terrible strategy. It is extremely slow and does not work on most servers.

I'm on NA8, and I've recently been sending warriors to level 3 NPC's to farm for gems. I've found a I actually get a lot of honor medals sending 20-30k warriors to a level 3 NPC and some lion medals. I also get a lot of lion medals sending 10k warriors at level 1 NPC's as well. I send 2 attacks in a row at the same city. You can get drops on both of the hits.

My honor medals came from repeatedly attacking a lvl 3 NPC with 150 ballistas. True, I did continually get a mixture of courage and lion medals along with the honor meds, but perseverence pays off.

Finding medals is the most irritating part of Evony (except for the gear stars fiasco, which is just cruel). There doesn't seem to be any hard and fast rules except that persistence (or a credit card) is essential. I send out teams every hour or so and the drop rate will vary enormously with no obvious correlation with time sent, level of hero, what I had for breakfast, anything really.

So just keep sending out attacks. And take comfort from the fact that the drop rate for Nation and Justice Medals is much higher.

On my and my alliance's experience, lvl4's give alot of Honor medals.

I don't know about lion medals, but I got 3 honors medals in about 10 hits on level 1 npc's. I used 10k warrior and 1.5k archer. I will forever be in your debt for trying this out...

Level 10 NPCs drop Lost Armor scripts and Michelangelo scripts. Have also received these same scripts from level 8 NPCs, but far less common.

You will also see a significant drop rate difference by completing the Colonizing achievements.

I tried this method on Na32 for rose. After 75 attacks on lvl3 lakes, flats, and forest nothing. Is this not absurd?

Cross Medals:
1. Attack any level 2 valley with 100 archers.
2. Attack any level 1 valley with 50 archers.

Rose Medals: (difficult - only because these medals do not drop often)
1. Attack any level 4 valley with 400 archers.
2. Attack any level 3 valley with 200 archers.
3. Attack any level 2 valley with 100 archers.
4. Attack any level 1 valley with 50 archers.
5. Attack any level 1 NPC with 50 ballista.

Lion Medals:
1. Attack any level 5 valley with 750 archers.
2. Attack any level 4 valley with 400 archers.
3. Attack any level 3 valley with 200 archers.
4. Attack any level 3 NPC with 250-300 ballista.
5. Attack any level 2 NPC with 150-200 ballista.

Honor Medals:
1. Attack any level 6 valley with 1,500 archers.
2. Attack any level 5 valley with 750 archers.
3. Attack any level 4 NPC with 350-400 ballista.
4. Attack any level 3 NPC with 250-300 ballista.
5. Attack any level 2 NPC with 125-200 ballista.

Courage Medals:
1. Attack any level 7 valley with 3,000 archers.
2. Attack any level 6 valley with 1,500 archers.
3. Attack any level 5 NPC with 400-500 ballista.
4. Attack any level 4 NPC with 350-400 ballista.
5. Attack any level 3 NPC with 250-300 ballista.

Wisdom Medals:
1. Attack any level 8 valley with 7,500 archers.
2. Attack any level 7 valley with 3,000 archers.
3. Attack any level 6 valley with 1,500 archers.
4. Attack any level 5 NPC with 400-500 ballista.

Freedom Medals:
1. Attack any level 8 valley with 7,500 archers.
2. Attack any level 7 valley with 3,000 archers.
3. Attack any level 5 NPC with 400-500 ballista.

Nation Medals: (very difficult)
1. Wipe out a level 10 NPC, then allow 40,000 warriors to regenerate. Attack and defeat the level 10 NPC with 40,000 warriors regenerated.
- Nation Medals can also be won from the Wheel of Fortune

Justice Medals: (very difficult)
1. Attack any level 10 NPC with 90,000 archers and a few thousand warriors, pikemen, and swordsmen.
- Make sure your hero's attack is very high.

Please note: - If your Hero has low ATTACK stat (less than 70), the numbers represented above should be increased.

Always-Always-Always
Send with your Archers: 1 Warrior, 1 Pikeman and 1 Swordsman
Send with your Ballista: 1 Warrior, 1 Pikeman and 1 Swordsman
Sending transports for looting is optional

Thanks but this is the way I have farmed since AgeI, I know it by heart. Now im up to over 200 attacks on randoms between 1-3. Ive played AgeI and AgeII since it opened. I need rose and I know they are rare but I am getting nothing. Any new techniques would be great. The old ones don't work now. The only people on the server with medals either bought them or won them on the wheel o crap.

Any suggestions from a player who has dealt with specifically server Na32 is welcome and appreciated.

I obtained my rose medals on na32 two separate ways.
1.) 1k cavalry to level 1 valleys only using the capture and abandon method. This resulted for me in 1 rose medal averaged every 20 attacks. You will lose less than 10 cavalry every attack.
2.) 200 archers to level 3 valleys once again using the cap and abandon method. Once again I averaged 1 rose per 20 attacks.

Now if anyone can tell me where I can get an honor medal on na32 I will be ecstatic. On previous servers they dropped all the time in level 4 and 5 NPC's but on 32 I have had no such luck.

3 Lions]
Just send 2 waves of 8-7 heroes(any low lvl hero will do) with 100 archers to lv2-3 Valleys with a 10-15sec gap between each attack to any type of valley using the capture and abandon method.
Took around 300attacks, rarely losing troops ( most lost was 11 archers lol :c )
lv2; Cross and Rose medals
lv3; Rose and Lion medals

Now..
What about Honor Medals? D:
Any ideas outside the attack-lv4-NPC-with-200/300+-ballista/Transporters-every-hour-or-so method ? D:
Preferly with archers/warrior please :3

OK, I'm a noob but I play on na31. I don't think archery/HBR etc. has anything to do with medal drops other that troop loss, so with that note: I have tried both max valleys and capture and abandon style of play. The latter seems to work better for me. I send 8 waves of heros to valleys (doesn't matter flats, forests, lakes, etc). I like to use Scouts for the speed, I leave 8 to 10 second gap between hits. Some days are just better than others, being in 1 wave I'll get 2 medals then may send 4 waves and get nothing. IDK why but if I start getting Cross medals that is all I get so I change the valley. My high lvl Intel hero has never produced a medal for me (only gems). I need to start making notes on the time of day, rounds of attack, hero attack/intel lvl, and how many seconds between attacks(I think those seconds count). Didn't mean to go off on a rant but this is what works for me.

Driyer u don't have to hit with just that as long as u hit with 70k+ archers ull get justice medals
with like 4k swords and 4kpike with 4k scouts and 11kwar 3ktrans
it will work
also to get medals:
try to start farming while still civilian/civilian
its way easier and it helps if u do it as soon as a new server starts
i know it works because we all know how we get medals we don't need when we farm for the ones we need
so why not use evony against it self and farm medals as a civilian/civilian!
